I'm offering this information becauase, having read through many forum posts when I had the condition, I learned how challenging it can be to find a solution to this.

But I feel that once I figured out what worked, it was actually pretty easy and formulaic to deal with the condition.

First off, the apple cider vinegar on a cotton ball DOES work. I used this for three little bumps in my vaginal area. Yes, it burned and stung, and was difficult to get the cotton to stay on (had to use scotch tape overnight!). But it totally got rid of them.

To do this, soak a piece of cotton ball or gauze in raw organic apple cider vinegar, just big enough to fit over the bump. Tape/band-aid it on there overnight. You might do a couple nights, or daytime, if that works for you. The bump starts turning black as it's getting killed. These bumps went away and never came back.

When I did the cider vinegar on a couple spots on my leg, it left scars that I'm not happy about. Had I known at the time, I would have used CLOVE OIL instead (essential oil of clove). In addition to the cider vinegar, I found clove oil to be perfectly effective.

I diluted it 50% in another oil. Sometimes almond oil, sometimes olive. I don't think it really matters what other oil you use. And I'd rub it on the spots a couple times a day. This was very fast to clear up spots on my chest, legs, armpits (from shaving--don't shave affected areas as it spreads the condition), butt, abdomen. It seemed to kill them in about 2 days. I highly recommend working with clove oil FIRST, and cider vinegar for bigger bumps if the clove oil doesn't seem to be working. This should minimize scarring.

I also used terrasil on these areas with DMSO to make it absorb well. I think this was helpful, and I like to hit a problem from every angle with multiple remedies if needed. But I don't think the Terrasil is an absolute necessity. If money is tight, try the clove oil alone first. Dirt cheap, while the Terrasil is more expensive.

But overall we had far more success in an old remedy that my mother told me about. Apple cider vinegar, clove oil and cover them up. One night she had so many (what looked like infected bumps) on her inner thighs, I put anti-biotic triple ointment on her inner thighs, covered with large bandage. I swear by morning most of the bumps were smaller and many were gone. Over the past week I have been covering her bumps with this ointment, and using a bandage to cover them. I've read that depriving them of oxygen helps kill the virus faster. Well, it's been a week now since I started and I would say almost 90% of her bumps have faded or disappeared.

  This was the most recent article about Master-Cleanse I found on the internet and the most detailed. So thank you very much. I discovered a small bump on my penis few weeks ago and didn't think it was something serious and punctured it and it multipled.
  
  Worried, I went to a walk-in clinic and the GP said it was nothing he recognized and tested me for STIs which came clean and advised me to see a dermatologist who diagnosed me with Master-Cleanse and asked me to get tested for HIV which I did today and it was negative phew.   The way you described how to apply Clove oil was very helpful. No one was mentioning on any forum, whether the combination or Olive oil and Clove oil is to to be rubbed or just applied or had to be taped like Apple Cider Vinegar.

It's been 5 years now and after many attempts to freeze them off over the years, the only thing that has worked has been Apple Cider Vinegar. I am also unhappy with the scars it left on my legs :( Any suggestion on how to get rid of those scars? I wish I knew about the clove oil!! However, just very happy the bumps are mostly gone without doctors appointments. I keep finding little baby ones all over me from shaving, so I'm guessing the only treatment from here is to keep noticing them and applying the vinegar/oil, correct? Thanks for posting!

    Buy some Iodine (water solution is nicest, like 5% lugol's), or providine Iodine (drug store, healthstore, sold for wound disinfection). Paint it on the scars (for example with fingertips) 2-4 times a day, it'll tell the immune system to start a healing process there. Search Molluscum Contagiosum and iodine, another family reports success with providine iodine. :-)
    
    It can take a few weeks to see results, but iodine's really a quite surprising/powerful element.
    
    I wiped out on my moped on a left-hand swing earlier this spring. It had been dry, and I slipped on sand with my tired. The seat of the bike fell heavy on my left inner thigh, and I walked rather with a limp for a few days! The bruise developed into a regular ol' eye of sauron there on my leg (right up next to the panty-line :< )
    I had been using a homemade 10% Lugol's solution on the tips of my big toes (trying out a suggestion from another forum), so I just continued with that, and my bruise was gone within 2 weeks! :D
    
    I think using digestive enzymes and supplemental choline really helped there too. (Enzymes help break down dead tissue, and choline is an essential ingredient in all new cell walls)

We found the advice on this forum so helpful that my wife and I promised ourselves that we would come back and leave our feedback. Our three kids at different points under 4 got MC. The girl's virus came and went without us almost noticing but our youngest contracted it last year at 4 months old. It started off as 1 or 2 spots on the elbow. Doctor said that would go away in 18 months. Two months ago it went BONKERS and spread down his arm, across his belly, back and down his legs. We decided that we were not going to wait for this to clear up as it was setting itself up for a body spread. So we considered info on this site, medical portals, scientific reports etc and we started our plan. Suffice it to say after 1 month we have eradicated this virus back to one spot on the elbow of our very clean little boy. We reckon this is the original'master' virus that started this off. Tomorrow will see us excise the core of that followed by disinfection as per plan. Our plan entailed nightly Qtip application of 5% Iodine to head of papule, then body spread of a lotion I prepared in an empty spray bottle. Lotion consisted of 50% cider vinegar/mother + calmiNE. Then put on Long sleeve vest, pj's and bed. Morning quick wash down + tea tree lotion.

My daughter suffered from Molluscum contagiosum about six months ago. She had several on the back of her thigh. They didn't really do any thing for years and then they started to spread down her legs. I took her to the doctor and he suggested freezing them off. After two very traumatic treatments which prevented my daughter from sitting on her bottom comfortably we ended the drs visits.I did try the Apple cider vinegar treatment with no effect other than burning my daughter's skin. Then I found a post online, I can't find the website otherwise I would repost the site and I started the following regime for three weeks. After three weeks her Molluscum contagiosum went away completely.
Tea tree oil on every bump morning and night. I used Desert Essence tea tree oil available on Amazon. I made sure I used a different applicator for every bump. I did not cover them up with a bandaid unless the center "core" was exposed. It's important that the bumps dry out so if they are not in the contagious stage covering with a bandaid may make things worse. I made sure her bumps were covered with clothing however (the core is the thin stem sticking out of the center of the bump). If the core was exposed I tried to remove it with tweezers or put neosporin on it and then covered it with a small bandaid. The core is what is contagious and is how the Molluscum contagiosum spreads. My daughter had sponge baths for three weeks and washed her hair in the sink (because she didn't have any on her head). I made sure to avoid getting the bumps wet. So no baths, prolonged showers, swimming in pools or hot tubs. If her bumps did get wet, as soon as she got out of the water, we patted the area dry very lightly to avoid spreading (even used a blow dryer set on low to dry the area). I changed her bedding every day and her PJs every night. It was very labour intensive and took some time but this method was VERY EFFECTIVE. I cannot stress enough to buy good tea tree oil and keep the area covered with clothing and dry unless the bumps have opened. Good luck.

I am 20 years old and I am suffering with genital molliscum contagiosum, I had it for a year and a half without realising it I thought it was from shaving, I had 2 lots of freezing treatment and it settled down for a month and has now came back even worse, I have had another freeze treatment which hasn't worked, I am now in a relationship and were not sexual active because I'm worried about passing it to my partner, he knows everything but I'm worried it will effect us eventually, it is very uncomfortable and emotionally draining, any advise would be much appreciated, many thanks :)

I've had skin problems for the past month. My mother has eczema, so I didn't think much of it. I had what appeared to be an eczema rash, and my skin was very dry and flaking in some places. Then 2 weeks ago, I started getting sores. They weren't that troublesome at first, and I thought they were caused by me scratching excessively when I had ezcema. But then they started showing up in places where I didn't have a rash, such as my SCALP and the back of my neck.

Around that same time my chin area and some patches in my hair started getting "scabby". And they aren't razor bumps or anything like that. It's like piled up layers of dandruff and crusty skin, and if I try to peel it off, it hurts and there's a yellow pus to it.

And then 2 days ago I woke up and found a large lump in my scrotum. It was small at first, but in the past few days it has grown to be larger than my testicles, and now it hurts a bit

I plan on going to get a some STD tests next week, but I would like to know if anyone has any ideas on what this could be. Thank you.

    It could also be lymphogranuloma venereum...related to chlamydia. The picture of the lesion on your scrotum and the development of symptoms that you have described are more consistent with LGV...although the other lesions could be either. It is possible that you have contracted both.

    Thanks for your reponse. molluscum contagiosum does appear to be what's affecting my face/scalp. However, I think the lump on my scrotum is a seperate issue. Less than an hour ago it started bleeding and very dark blood (maroon) and a yellowish pus came out of it. I'm going to go to the hospital as soon as possible to find out what's going on.

      It was in fact NOT an STD - it was a skin infection caused by fungus. They kept me in the hospital for a week to monitor me and gave me Antibiotics by IV, as well as oral Antibiotics (Griseofulvin, Bactrim) and anti-fungal cream & shampoo (Ketoconazole, AmLactin, Nizoral) to treat it. They were trying to figure out where I got it, because they said infections like that are usually picked up in hospitals.
      
      In response to your statement of "Why don't I start using condoms", I DO use condoms. But everyone knows (or at least they should know) that not every disease or infection is caused by sex. There's a whole slew of STD's and other stuff you can get simply by skin-to-skin contact.

Thank you in advance for reading this. I will initially keep it condensed, because I hate reading deep to pull out facts.

I found it unlikely to be herpes since there was no stages its gone through, I thought for the majority of the time it was prob some type of hpv, till today I came across molluscum and it seemed to match appearance and symptoms the most (or lack there of.)

Have had these bumps for about 3-5 months. First showed up after my last sexua| relationship, was brief < a month. They have not transformed or gone through any changes since appearing - though a few smaller ones seem to have shown up on my shaft and a few other areas under the hair, I'd have to completely shave to be positive.

They do not hurt, do not get irritated. I haven't had any money till lately to have them looked at (still havent, will when able) I did today apply some pharma grade oil of oregano, and may try acv as I've read a lot off and on.

If you want more info on the hows/whos/whys/wheres/whens.. feel free to inquire, I'm an open book and thank you again for any insight or suggestions.

Help!

I've had doctor diagnosed Molluscum Contagiosum on my lower abdomen for over 8 months now. I made the mistake of shaving the area (before I knew what I had) which I know has made the problem worse.

The Dr. removed a few, but the consensus from him was to wait it out. I have since taken it upon myself to judiciously check daily and remove any new bumps and their cores with a tweezer (which I later sterilize) and cover the area with a medical tape for several days thereafter to help cover and clear the area-to prevent auto-innoculation.

I am wondering if there is anything else I can do to help my body stop this virus from replicating?

Because they can be spread by skin-to-skin contact, molluscum are usually found in areas of skin that touch each other such as the folds in the arm or in the groin.
  
  Often the molluscum may become red or inflamed. This tends to occur just before the growth is ready to go away on its own. In people with diseases of the immune system, the molluscum may be very large in size and may involve the face.

    Is this common in small children. I think my two year may have it. I believed that he has had it for 3 weeks now. I took him to his pediatrician and she had NO IDEA what it was. I was wondering what to do for it. They (bumps) are spreading really FAST all over his body. It started on his leg where the buttocks meets the leg and they just kept moving south, now it is all over his arms and I am starting to see it on his chest area and back. It doesn't seem to bother him, harder for me. WHAT SHOULD I DO ABOUT THIS? I can not think of any place where he may have gotten this virus, other than the park. He is not in day care. HELP.
