You need potassium. Swollen ankles and kidney issues suggest that You have potassium deficiency. Take potassium citrate, or you can make potassium broth with potato skins, rhubarb, onions, celery, parsley and seaweed kombu. You can also add tomatoes to this broth as well. Drink this twice a day. Stop taking salt till you feel better. Melons cannot mix with any foods, so eat them alone as a mono-meal.
