Thanks for the response. I did call the doctor and made an appointment to check things out. They didn't seem to think it was a major problem since they didn't tell me to come right on in... I'm going a week from Wednesday. The funny part of this is that within a day of posting that message, 90% of the pain subsided and it appears that the displacement might be directly related to the incision and subsequent scarring. It's still very tender but I can stand and sit without pain now and who knows...by the time that appointment rolls around things might be on their way back to normal.

The reason I was worried was because they made it sound like I would have a little pain for a day and by Monday everything would be right as rain. It was only after I called back the Wednesday after the procedure (it was done the previous Friday) that they explained that I could have discomfort for up to two weeks and that "normal activity" doesn't necessarily mean "all normal activities." So call it paranoia by way of ambiguity. I hurt a LOT longer than I expected to and they weren't terribly clear about the actual recovery time. That being said, the notion of recovering from surgery in a day DID seem a bit ambitious in the resiliency department for a 36-year-old. Thanks again.
