I can tell you that when I had mercury poisoning very bad from my amalgams, I took a 100mcg pill of B12 and crushed it up and swallowed. I was trying to manipulate a mercury test I was getting because I heard B12 chelates it a lot and to avoid it. Well, I was never so sick in my life. It is truly one of the worst ills I have ever experienced. If you have amalgams, you are supposed to avoid B12. Buy the book "It's All In Your Head" by Hal Huggins. It says in there. You should try to avoid things that chelate mercury while you have amalgams. Glutathione is another chelator. The combo is not good if you have mercury fillings.
What you are experiencing is mercury poisoning and it often feels like you have the flu or like you drank some poison. Chelators pull mercury out of your teeth and brain, organs, lymphatic system and circulate them. If you do not take the right kind of chelators it can redistribute the mercury instead of excreting it from the body. But, either way, it can make you very ill. The following shows a list of what chelates mercury:

You should not go to mineral springs or use mineral salts in your bath water until you get amalgams out, otherwise you can get sick, usually if gives flu-like symptoms or bad headaches and/or stomach aches. Hal Huggins told me the best way to chelate mercury is hot baths. You can do it with amalgams in, I suppose, but until they are out, it won't relieve much, if any, of your mercury symptoms.
Why is vitamin B-12 as a supplement or additive dangerous?
Many Universities have published articles on the ability of Vitamin B-12 to convert mercury vapor into the much more deadly “Methyl mercury”. Methyl mercury knows no barriers, and creates far more havoc than other mercury chemicals, because of its ability to travel anywhere in the body without inhibitions. Sometimes the effects of high doses of Vitamin B-12 (over 50 micrograms) take months to correct.

Glutathione is not usually well absorbed from the G.I. tract, but it binds mercury, so taking a dose immediately before the dental procedure and another dose immediately afterward can bind mercury that may get swallowed.

Never supplement with vitamin B12 if you have mercury fillings. I made that mistake and was never so sick in my life.
But, it is an important chelator to take if B12 if you have had the amalgams out (along with other chelators).
I began taking it the first night after my removal (with many other chelators) for 4 months, and I got better every single day.
This may explain your neck problem. I had broken neck syndrome for many years and it was very bad.

As for my own experience, I took 100mcg of B12 to manipulate a urine mercury test, ground it up and swallowed it (I had 9 fillings and had been ill from them over 30 years at the time). BIG mistake. I was never so sick in my life. I learned the hard way that Hal was right. Some might not get that ill from it, but they just might.
After removal, that night, I took B12 again, along with over 20 other chelators and I was fine. In fact, I felt great for the first time in my life and continued to improve every day; I took the chelators every day for 4 months. Why I got so ill before could have had to do with not taking any other chelators with it, don't know, as it may have mobilized a lot of it and I had no binding chelators to pull it out of the body. But, at least I know if one has mercury fillings and they take B12 alone, they can get very ill.

I have been a Dental Consultant for over five years and spoken to and advised thousands of patients. My posts are based on what I learned. Anyone is free to post their experiences and opinions here. If you want to debate, please go here: http://curezone.com/forums/f.asp?f=629
Hal Huggins is the one who introduced us to the dangers of mercury fillings here in the US. He pioneered the removal movement and is known as the father of mercury removal. If you don't like my posts, please ignore them.
