Potassium Bicarbonate may be more dangerous than sodium bicarbonate, as a potassium overdose is far more dangerous than a sodium overdose, despite the fact that most people get too much sodium and not enough potassium in their diet. It is therefore better to get more potassium from natural sources by eating more potassium rich fruit and vegetables (eg. bananas, apricots, etc.) Potassium is much easier to overdose on when taking it in supplemental form and dosage is highly regulated in this form. Potassium and sodium together make up the potassium-sodium pump which the body uses to regulate blood pressure and electrical activity of the heart and other muscles.
Magnesium bicarbonate in solution may be a better form of bicarbonate than sodium, or potassium bicarbonate as you get no sodium and some magnesium in the mix.
As far I know there is no evidence that any alkaline (basic) substances can increase tissue, blood, or water oxygenation levels, despite the fact that it will still inhibit the rate of metastasis of tumors by increasing alkalinity (and thus also PH.)
Bicarbonate, from what I know, cannot reduce tumor size and can only reduce the rate of metastasis (spread of cancer to other parts of the body). This has been proven in mouse models by in clinical trials where metastasis was reduced by 50 percent. This may be due to the fact that Bicarbonate can only increase EXTRACELLULAR PH of tumours.
Cesium in the form of cesium chloride can penetrate cancer cell walls (membranes) and increase INTRACELLULAR PH until the cells dies and therefore is able to actually reduce tumour size through tumor cell apoptosis (cell death).
Cesium chloride is relatively low toxic, but must be taken with potassium supplements as cesium chloride causes a potassium deficiency, which is increased with higher doses.
Liquid cesium chloride is more bioavalable (absorpable in the body) than the powdered, or tablet forms.
Also be careful when taking more than on type of alkaline mineral to increase PH when treating chronic diseases such as cancer as, when used together, there is obviously a cumulative effect in increasing PH too much.
For healthy individuals a diet high in fruit and vegetables is sufficient to alkalise the body to optimal levels. Although fruits are acidic, their byproducts (after digestion) help to alkalize the body. Vegetables tend to be more alkaline - even from the start.
Meats, grains and sugars should be eaten in moderation since they acidify the body.
