I get herbs in bulk and do my own formulas too. I've found it to be cheaper and stronger than any premade commercial product. There's lots of trial and error, but you'll find things that work for you. I've done tinctures, teas, and plain powders, and so far, haven't noticed a difference in effect based on form I take it in...if it's something that's effective for me, it works the same in any of these forms. So, you can just powder the stuff and take it and it may work just the same as a tincture.
But...be careful with
Wormwood , don't take too much of it...a few capsules is probably just fine. With
Black-Walnut and cloves...you can increase dose if you feel you need. I have to take high dose to get affect, which is another reason I don't buy premade, I'd have to take the whole bottle in a day to get anywhere.
black walnut leaves apparantly are different from the hulls, although I've not had any effects with
Black-Walnut hulls, I've tried several times. For many people it seems to work though. Cloves is one of my favorites, I use this one often.
glaxony's suggestion is great for doing separate tinctures, then you'll know the best combination for yourself.
