I have seen a lot of posters recently asking about
Iodine and treatment for candida so I thought I would post this site I came across yesterday.

The reason I am posting this is to TRY and help a lot of those who are treating themselves for candida. I wish I would've found this site two years ago before I completely destroyed my digestion!! I took
Antibiotics for a year and a half and have been on an anti-candida diet for two years now (only to get worse and worse and worse as more time passed). And the website above describes EXACTLY how I got worse to an absolute "T." So if you are new to candida treatment, I thought I would try and save you from the candida boards (no offense to anyone please) and how much advice you will get on being EXCRUTIATINGLY strict on your diet and not to touch a single whole grain or piece of fruit! As I said, I did that for almost two years now and my allergies got so bad I was down to eating just about 5 foods (until recently! there is hope! get yourself some iodine!! I will explain more about this below...just keep reading :)). The website above explains EXACTLY how my allergies got WORSE!!!:

This is just one little statement that sums up what happened to me but there are SO many important facts on this site. Trust me...I spent a year on the candida boards on and off and I was NOT getting better. The only thing I really disagree with on the site is the necessity of taking probiotics. I am getting SOOOO much better and I have not touched a probiotic. They are a TOTAL waste of money in my opinion but many feel the need to take them so I am not gonna argue there. Just speaking from my own experience, I found them to be completely useless and a huge scam.
Anyhow this leads me to IODINE. YES YES YES I truly feel
Iodine will help rid you all of candida problems if you have them...and
Iodine has helped rid me of many of my
food sensitivities so I was actually able to start digesting and adding fruits and whole grains back into my diet. and I am now FINALLY able to stop eating slabs of meat for breakfast lunch and dinner (which by the way was completely destroying my digestion!). I just really wanted to make my point that whole grains and fruits are sooooooooooo important for the health of the digestive tract and DO NOT be afraid to eat them if you have candida and you can tolerate them. and if you can't tolerate or digest them, get yourself on some iodine and i can guarantee your digestion will be one of the FIRST things that starts to heal so you CAN eat foods like that again.
PLEASE if you are treating yourself for candida READ the entire site (posted above). It will only take you ten minutes and it is SERIOUSLY worth reading. I literally went from having 1 - 2 bowel movements a week to two per day all on my own now! And this is a combination of iodine healing my digestion, and the introduction of whole grains and fruits back into my diet. PLEASE PEOPLE! You DO NOT have to live off of protein to beat candida...it ain't good for ya and in most cases it won't work!! :)
