...to the point that our glasses are almost more of a hindrance than a help!
We both wear trifocals, and BOTH of us started noticing the improvement within a few weeks (I've dosed from 0-100mgs and my hubby from 0-50mg since 2/20/07...right now we're both at 25mg for awhile). My ability to read and see close-up is incredibly improved...both of us can read at normal range now (without that 'old age' holding the book away from our normal vision field!).
Word of advise? If you're planning on continuing
Iodine for awhile, don't get your prescription changed and buy new glasses (unless you have the money to be changing them every month or so). We've seen a great variance in the improvement (and a drop in the improvement for me, as I've lowered my dosage at various times). So we're waiting until we feel we're 'iodine sufficient' and then adding a few more months to that, before we pop the $500 (or so) it'll take for new glasses for the both of us.
Of course, it's a MAJOR pain in the butt (especially sine we're lapidaries & jewelry designers for a living and NEED to see clearly close up in order to make our living). But since we sometimes suffer from 'starving artist syndrome' (and because I can't see -no pun intended- giving the eye doc a few hundred dollars every few months, even if I had it to give), we're making do with our little magnifying visors and just toughing it out.
(Wow, that was a LOT more than A *word* of advise! lol)
Speaking of making a living, it's time I get back to doing so :) But I just had to add our experience to this thread.
Once again...IODINE ROCKS!
