I have felt something similar. My pain typically started around 5:00 in the morning and went all the way around my lower rib cage. If I got up and walked around, it went away within 30 minutes (usually some burping).
The thing that helped me was to get several
colonics and take a 1/2 tsp of fiber (I use a product called Herbulk from Unipro). The fiber helps me to have regular bowel movements, and this has helped with the pains.
I believe that the pains are caused by blockage (plugs) in the transverse colon that transfer to the chest area. It can also feel like a heart attack with pains around the middle of the chest. Never underestimate the pains from gas! The blockages (per my colon therapist) are caused by foods that tend to "clump" and form plugs - cheese, white flour, some protein drinks...
Hope this helps.
