I let you all in on a little secret...
I noticed a little bit of wrinkling starting to happen (due to stress and making stressed expressions) just above my eyebrows. I'm 43 years old and otherwise only look about 30 - 35 (so I'm told). I thought "Oh no! I'm starting to look old!" I was really obsessed about it for about a month.
You see, it's funny how influenced I can be by other people. My sister told me about a year prior to that - that I should grow my bangs out. She said I had a pretty hairline and I didn't need bangs. So, I'd been growing my hair out for a while. The bangs had almost gotten down to my chin. I guess that's why I started noticing my wrinkle. So, I started checking into getting botox - about 6 months ago. The good thing about all of this is that I was regularly looking at posts on curezone and was trying to get healthier. I can understand your reluctant feelings about getting botox. That's why you posted the question. If you've been hanging around here for a while - it makes you a bit more conscious of how you treat your body and how it all effects your health in so many ways. That's how I felt. It took a lot of courage to even post your question about botox. I think it's great that you asked.
I didn't get botox. With what I now know about how much control I really do have over my health or lack of health - I couldn't do it. Once you're aware of this, it's really difficult to make choices that are not for the best. I quit smoking almost a year ago. I just couldn't keep smoking and at the same time say "I'm doing healthy things for my body!" So instead of getting botox - I cut my bangs again - (I've been a licensed master cosmetologist for over 20 years). I don't even notice my wrinkle anymore, and I got several compliments on the bangs.
As far as the cancer/chemo comment goes - I just don't think you thought that out really well before you said it. Cancer is a really bad thing - but cancer doctors often tell patients that they must have chemo or they will die. There are several documented cases of people (even physicians) who have successfully CURED THEMSELVES of heart disease, cancer and other terminal diseases without the traditional medical treatments and instead by making dietary and lifestyle changes. If you're curious about this you can go to www.ravediet.com There is also a 6 minute video clip of a DVD called Eating http://www.ravediet.com/preview.htm
I am not selling anything, nor am I affiliated with anyone at this site. It's just the eating plan that I am doing. It is Vegan - a totally plant based diet. It's also the easiest thing I've ever done to eat healthy. It's so nice to not have to limit portions and I still am loosing inches (I don't weigh myself).
Hopefully you'll find an alternative to botox, like I did. A good hairstylist can fix this problem for you!

I, for one, hope you do have fun and enjoy it to the fullest. As I said before, your question was a good one. I thought the discussion was just that - a discussion. Please don't take others comments as mean. It was all out of concern - I'm sure of that. It's really easy to take things in a negative way. Everyone has their own way of communicating. We all also hear things differently. There have been throughout our forum history - a few people who have gotten offended here and there. The ones who stuck around and got to know people better realized about everyones communication differences.
I'm sorry you didn't feel well about this thread. I hope you'll stick around. You'll see that everyone around here are just like brothers and sisters. Hopefully you will feel more welcome soon.
I think of all of the vanity proceedures out there - the one most here would approve of is...
Liposuction!
Liposuction releases toxins you know!
So, how do all of you feel about Liposuction?

This forum is set up in support of the Master Cleanse. When someone brings somethng up which has potential to do great harm or hinder the purpose of the Master Cleanse, there's no reason that comments should not be allowed. None of this discussion was counter-productive of the Master Cleanse. To the contrary, the comments posted are supportive of the Master Cleanse and maintaining the benefits acheived through the proper use of it.
The original poster asked for the opinions of others about this, because she was apparently having some ambivalent feelings about the effect of this procedure. I believe that this has been a quite productive discussion. Thanks for initiating it...

You're welcome. I think this has been a pretty cool discussion. It made me think about a lot of things, so thanks for bringing it up.
