Have you ever read Taking Charge of Your Fertility? It helps you chart your cycle and find when you are ovulating. It would be non-invasive and let you continue breastfeeding. I think the book is very helpful for helping a women to get pregnant and also preventing pregnancy.

I have a copper iud for about 9 mon. now. When i first got it my period was fine and kinda normal except i got alot of cramps which ive never had with any of my periods. Well anyways starting about 3 mon. ago i was a little late. I was a little worried but i eventually strted but when i did it was like that brownish kind of blood you get at the end of your period and i would only bleed like that when i went to the bathroom which i still think is weird and it only comes out really thick like blood clots or somethin and i get my period for about 6 days, so im kinda thinking if i should have got, also because one of my friends had it and she was bleeding the same way i was and her feet and arms stared going kinda numb and she didnt know why so she went to her doctor to see what was going on and when she went they did a, i think its called an MRI or where ever they inject that dye into your viens so they can see whats going on in them and they found out she had blood clots in her legs. Her copper-t iud caused her to get them. She had to get it removed and they had to do surgery on her legs to take out the blood clots. Alot of people i know have the mirana iud and theyve told me they hardly get any hormones or anything and that it works for them but everybodys body is differant.
