Hi 66615,
I am also flushing right now (I suspect a LOT of people are!) and thought you'd be interested in some observations which address your questions.
First off, I don't usually get stones until between the 3rd and 4th ES drink. When I started, I got a few stones the days before the flush with the apple juice! Which supports the idea that these are stones in my body pre-existing before the
OO (Olive-Oil) drink and so are NOT "soap balls" as some skeptics say. My body was SO primed then... but usually, not until after the 3rd ES. Being upright and moving - like walking, doing light (very light!) housework, even sitting upright for interneting seems to help. If you are not having BMs too, that's a bad sign, you could be constipated and need to drink more water ASAP and note that for the future! You can still get stones and other stuff out, but it might be hard to find them.
Yesterday, after a few days of prep I was ready to go. However, I realized after the dastardly deed was done, I had unconsciously scooped about 2 handfuls of potato chips from my friend's bowl on the table while watching TV - I had my own bowl of snackables, fruit - and thought I'd compromised my results. I immediately made a large bowl of fruit salad to hurry that stuff out of my system and clean up. Until just a few minutes ago, I wasn't sure if I would release any stones this time. But after the 3rd ES drink, yes, I've started. I have the feeling my results will be less that they might have been, but I am getting stones (and chaff and acid, ouch!) so it did not completely compromise all the prep work.
Note: It took awhile to write this, with constant dashes to the loo and cleaning n counting stones. My results WERE compromised; I can feel the big stones are still not budging. Hm...
Usually I follow the diet and timing carefully, but start 2 hours later due to work, although I think for some people variation is ok.
My prep: No meats or oils for 3 days before, including the day of the flush. Proteins are ok ex. beans, tofu and soybean products (if you eat them), and other plant-based proteins. The morning of the flush, I usually eat cooked oatmeal with brown
Sugar (not recommended by Moritz, he says avoid all sweetners but this is my one "cheat") and cinnamon sprinkled on top but NO milk; for lunch I usually eat a raw vegetable mix like salad or cut up veggies, but sometimes I eat steamed veggies with steamed rice, and snack on fruit if I'm hungry until 2 pm; and water, LOTS of it, in the days preceding, during the flush (except within 20 of ES and 20 min before the
OO (Olive-Oil) drink) and the day after. Two hours after the 4th ES drink, I juice some oranges or apples or mixed fruit, when I have the urge to eat, and later I eat a light salad or thin soup.
I've experimented some, because I love meat and have difficulty giving it up for long periods of time. I usually avoid meat Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, drinking the ES,
OO (Olive-Oil) drinks Wednesday night and ES Thursday morning, when the stones come out, then break the fast gently when my body wants food, but by Thursday night I often have fierce cravings for meat. I've discovered that if you eat meat too soon, you will have a spontaneous flush without the benefits of ES to elasticize the tubes and apple juice/pectin/malic acid whatever to soften the stones - these effects start seem to start to wear off about 12 hours after the last ES drink - so the spontaneous flush has problems: muscle spasms in the liver and liver duct area, also the stomach, lots of noise as the new stones travel through the digestive system, and GAS oh my god lots of that, ARGH! I don't recommend it. Also, your liver and the bile duct area are considerably more twingy/achy after doing this. A LITTLE meat on Friday (the evening of the day after the stones come out) is ok but a LOT will sometimes do the same thing - at least for me.
That's key - "at least for me". I've learned that every flush is different, and every body is different. All you can do is try the formulas, then tweak the formulas to suit your own body's needs, and ask questions like this whenever you are looking to hear what experiences others have had.
Oh yeah, foods to avoid before the flush: sesame seeds, flax seeds, and kiwi, they look like
parasite eggs; sea weed (unless you chew very thoroughly) and any fruit with strong fibers, like pineapple. These things are all good for you, but their presence in your BMs during and following the flush makes finding and counting stones difficult.
By the way, did you say you did a
parasite cleanse? When I got rid of ascaris, the rumbling in my stomach which accompanied hunger almost vanished, and my hunger pangs which made me feel almost nauseous with extreme calorie emergency also vanished. It's worth checking out, as
parasites can come back.
You must be almost done with your flush now - results?
