Hiya Tisha,
LOL, I'm not arguing with you...I hope you didn't think that.
Most reputable oils are organic. And the fact that you called him Dr. is not your fault, HE calls himself Dr., which he's not.
The website I found is their official messageboard. It is for distributers of YL oils ONLY..others are allowed to be there and to post, but only about THEIR oils, hence the reason my messages never got through. It's very weird. Ever hear of Amway? Kinda reminds me of that, lol. And the reason why his pamphlets have warnings is because of all the lawsuits against him. They weren't always like that, and if you go to a seminar, they tell you quite differently. This is why most of them prescribe ingesting the oils or putting very dangerous oils on your skin neat.
Most certified aromatherapists (which I'm not) despise Mr. Young and his practices. I don't dispute the quality of his oils, like I said, I've never tried them. There are so many dealers of quality oils out there that don't use synthetics...as a matter of fact, I research oils before I actually buy them from any certain company. There are some that I have come to completely trust without even thinking about it.
The thing about these people who fall into his scheme is, they don't even know all there is to know. They are actually the victims here. They are led to believe that they are qualified to prescribe these oils to the point of being fanatical. Nobody in their right mind should give ANYBODY let alone a child a SPOONFUL of essential oil to ingest for tonsilitis.
I am by no stretch of the imagination an expert on oils. But I HAVE been studying them quite some time...including the chemistry end of it. I myself wouldn't feel comfortable or qualified to prescribe things for people for serious ailments aside from help for a common cold, or the more common things like insomnia or cramps, etc. These people have talked people out of surgeries because they felt their oils were a better option.
If you believe that the YL oils are of good quality and worth the price, then I will not argue with you there. It is the ethics of the company I do not agree with, not the actual oils. I only hope that when using an oil as a remedy, you reasearch it BEYOND YL before actually using it. There is no harm in finding out more about an oil from other sources.
