Hi
I think you are on the right track. A good water filter is the most important thing above any medicine since you will need to drink a lot more of it when taking any medicine.
From my research I think the best filtered water goes through this process:
1) prefiltered with solid carbon block filter (to remove VOCS - distilling alone does not do this)
2) Distill water to remove everything else (most efficient method of cleaning water)
3) remineralised and re-alkalised (essential after distilling otherwise water is acidic and leeches minerals from your body)
Remineralizing and Alkalising Options - 1 pint / 568ml:
3.1) with a 1/4 tsp of smectite /
Montmorillonite clay (Terramin clay is good and it will raise the ph) (no need for ionizer when you can do it naturally)
3.2) with an 1/8 tsp himalayan
Sea Salt
3.3) Other options lemon juice, barley grass, wheat grass, seawead (be careful with seaweed / plankton / kelp / e3live etc in case of getting too much iodine)
4) ozonate for 5 mins to disinfect water from
parasites and or remaining bacteria
(This isn't really needed since distilling kills everything, but if water is sitting in a tank for a while its not a bad idea to ozonate before drinking.)
Its advisable that if you do let water sit in a tank to have it sit in a glass container, instead of a plastic container for preventing leeching of plastics into the water. Thats why plastic bottled water taste like crap.
Use an ozonater that provides information on how much mg per hr. That way you will be able to measure and experiment with how much ozone to use. Also get one with 2 leeds and 2 stones, one for water and one for oil. Ozonators aren't that expensive - This onces $300

The cheapest method is to get a couple of replacement filters - a carbon block filter and a sediment filter as small as you can get it (0.01 micron is currently the smallest) and connect a hose to it. See
