My mother and I were talking today about seed savers, gardening and such. Mom's peppers are coming in, yum; Citrus around the corner :-)
What she told me was little disconcerting.
She subscribes to organic gardening journals and magazines and watches these shows on TV when she gets a chance. She said today that she is a little upset that the shows and magazines are moving away from the food planting, gardening and landscaping, to the ornamental plants and flowers.

if you like good horror stories, you should read the mag in front of me right now. it is the may, 1985 issue of progressive farmer. its a nightmare. i was eating the mainline diet back then, good ol SAD. i thought i was eating healthy. hearty homecooked meals and fast food and resaurant food, junk food, gorging at holidays, parties, pot lucks, the works. many all you can eat buffets - for lunch, no less! and be starved by supper time!!!!
so all this stuff i was eating was drenched in round up. the ads in this mag would make you puke.
p9 - "roundup makes cleaning up around the farmstead a snap." "affordable. effective"
p14 - pinkeye vaccinations for milk and beef cattle.
p27 - "dont outguess the weather. outsmart it with m565." from dekalb - pfizer genetics. they dont even say what kind of grain this is and i am not enough of a farmer to know.
p29 - "roundup lets me plant early. i could never say that about tillage" from monsanto.
p31 - a standard bed toyota was $5998. p35 - "good news for bad soybeans." treat your fungus infected soybeans with vitavax-200 and they will still germinate. by gustafson.

My research on food additives and drugs seem to always link back to the pesticide and herbicide industry which link back to the petroleum industry... fluorides are the BIG nasty showing up in it all across the board.

Fluoride is just the tip of the ole' iceberg. As its in the Halogens of the Periodic Table it is used in the various industrial chemical processes to speed up or catalyze RX. And its too expensive for the companies to filtre it out...
Then of course backing all of this is the banks and financial groups - remember old Citibank/Citigroup? Well, they are still in business at any rate...- Re: Don't forget that... grzbear

This is a reply to # 769,110just Mr. Hearst....but certainly his other cohorts like Mr. Dow {he got started with that other Halogen Bromine, which lead to Chlorine} and I'd wager Morgan and Rockefeller had a hand, and old Ford wouldn't argue either {as he was trying to displace Mr. Benz's diesel engine that ran on peanut oil}.
By the way the first newspaper from trees was introduced at the Chicago World's Fair in 1893 {real name: World's Columbian Exhibition, which ironically, the buildings were made from plaster and hemp to be temporary).
I ask you: What did the world use for TP before this? Funny most early books about paper are simply 'gone'. Paper was such a scarce commodity in US in the 1800s that people recycled their washing lint. WHo would ever risk the effort to grind a whole tree just for pulp...'funny' though its when they started using Chlorine to whiten the paper that the fishing started to go downhill.- Re: I wouldn't blame it on... grzbear

Its a bit 'over the top' conspiratorially - but it is referenced so you can at least get to some original articles and get the answers you look for.
There is also an old book with a name like "Green Power" concerning the Pennsylvania State government in the early 1800s that is very informative but how people used to think and act according to our environment.
The other option takes time: go to any university that has a forestry and/or chemistry department. Go to the dumpster behind the back door. Virtually every day they throw out perfectly good books concerning this subject, but without an ISBN # it considered obsolete.
There are actually many sub-government agencies actually concerned about our future and world - but if the librarian isn't paid to keep that info on the shelves, well...
Of course any department throws away info, but to wade thru the business department or law is too daunting, we are talking tons of info to wade thru.- Thanks grzbear

Public libraries are really lacking in this kind of material; and the material IS thinning out at university, censorship?

This is a reply to # 769,092fluoride breaks the blood/brain barrier. fluoride is not accidental, incidental, or coincidental. it is essential to the success of the program which governs us all. it incapacitates by draining energy and fogging critical thought. it is in topicals, cookware, drinking water, food, pesticides, fertilizers, drugs, clothes, furniture, carpets - everywhere we eat, breath, drink, sleep and work.
i am not going to put up with any excuse for this. it is deliberate and comes straight out of german industry and the nazi handbook. look at the names behind the names. look at the parent companies. buy a clue while you still have half a brain left.(a general message to everyone, not a personal assault)

This is a reply to # 769,058fluoride (and its compounds) is random chemical euthanasia, pure and simple. it couldnt be any more effective if they randomly chose ssn, called you in like selective service and took you out back and put a bullet in your head. the only difference is that the inflicted will spend their life savings trying to stay alive because they are lied to and told they have a chance. ha.

Aye caramba, Trapper, you said a mouthful with those few words. We the people are way way way behind the times of knowing what happened years ago. So much so we seem destined to never get any closer to understanding and keeping up with what is going on in the present. That little thing about history and the implied repeating doom for having failed to know it comes to mind.
We people spend a lot of time and energy bogged down in argument. Ultimately it matters not what we argue. That vital time and energy is wasted ultimately is what does matter; an exercise of arguing over what is often and eventually distilled down to arguing the engrained notion of theory versus established fact of reality. It gets worse. All it takes is for one conditioned person to perpetrate the programmed utterance of the prefix "conspiracy" and the collective bickering, disagreement, and precious time lost to the people therein is raised infinitely.
This time & energy-wasting phenom is routinely evidenced just within the fairly narrow and tiny scope of we the people who freqeuent CZ to discuss by-products of situations that, whether or not we know it today, were set in motion unbeknownst to we and our predecessors 20 years ago, 43 years ago, 65 years ago and (coming up on December 23rd) 93 years ago.
