Although his website and distribution seem to have some money milking plans going on, I am not interested in his motivation for selling the information.
There is not too much new under the sun, so I would expect most of his book is just stuff that has been going on for 100-1000 years.
My question: is the information an accurate collection of holistic treatments/ preventions? Is it useful? Is it information that people who try to live this natural/holistic life agree with?
I can get it from the library, I don't need to worry about spending money. Should I bother?

The biggest problem with the book is that it doesn't contain complete information. In order get all of the info you need to really take advantage of the natural cures, you need to pay to join the website. If you can get the book for free from the library, it won't hurt to take a look at it. At the very least, it might point you in the right direction in terms of what to search for. Just don't expect it to give you the most important answers or information because that is reserved for people who pay to join the website. - Re: Is the book acurate? #69242

Trudeau has no background in health issues or alternative medicine. He is a former used car salesman. I am sure that you saw him on t.v. for years pushing bogus products in those sleazy infomercials. He was banned from producing anymore of those that pushed a product, except for a book, which is protected by free speech laws, and wouldn't you know it, all of a sudden Natural Cures appears. If you were re-modeling your house and went to Home Depot to pick up a "how to" book, would you pick the one written and edited by a carpenter or the one by a former used car salesman?? There are plenty of bogus claims in Natural Cures. Trudeau is not the man I trust to differentiate legitimate alternative medicine from the fringe stuff. Coral calcium as the cancer cure?? Sunscreen causing cancer, not the sun?? There is some good stuff in the book, just make sure you do your homework before you impliment any of it.

This is a reply to # 751,098First of all, Kevin was never a USED CAR SALESMAN, he was involved in an experimental car service, but he was not a USED CAR SALESMAN. Sadly people continue to call him that, even though it's not true.
The CURES "ARE" in his first book. ALL OF CHAPTER 6 and in the middle of the book he has a chapter with over 50 diseases and their specific cures.
In his second book the US COURT allowed him to actually list BRAND NAME PRODUCTS that cure over 70 specific diseases. This info you won't find anywhere else! Yes, Vitamin C cures the Flu in high doses, BUT WHICH VITAMIN C IS THE BEST???? HE ANSWERS THOSE TYPES OF QUESTIONS!
Read his book and remember it, and if you want, join the website. His newsletter is amazing and his website is great. I'm a member there.Advertisement

And if someone was to spend 8 hours a day straight on a computer without a break they would probaly get cancer from the radiation. Of course if they did cleanses etc... they would probaly prevent the cancer. That also includes not eating most if any of the big company foods,toothpastes etc...
You're right it doe's have bogus claims. But also true claims too...

I heard about a study done on people who lived in homes under EMFs electromagnetic fields. The people who lived stressful lives were the ones who suffered from the effects of electromagnetic chaos. Not every person suffered from it.
A study was done on birds that were fed arsenic poison. It didn't kill them. But when they were stressed out the birds died from arsenic poison.
The same probably applies with humans and the sun. So Kevin is almost essentially correct.Advertisement

This is a reply to # 755,666I tried some of the alternatives like loading up on grapeseed/vitamin C using olive oil and apple vinegar. It didn't work for me and the people who advocate the usage look like leather bags too. I use an organic quality sunscreen on my face and EARS...people forget to put it on their ears. Whoever claimed that there was no skin cancer before SPF is deliberately trying to mislead people.

How come skin cancer did not exist before the existence of SPF?
Maybe, because you are making up stuff. Skin cancer has always been around.
It took a spike when modernization allowed us marketkly increase our recreation time. At the same time there was a shift in perceptions. Previoius to this change only workers and lowly workers would have tans. After a shift in the workplace in which everyone moved indoors a tan was seen as a status symbol and as such it became desireable.

Certain heritages have the prediposition to skin cancer,particularly red headed light skinned people of Irish and Scottish descent. Mediterranian people and Africans tolerate the sun much better.
I personally believe that our diet,low in protective anitoxidants and good nutrtition overall hampers our ability to handle over exposure to the sun.

Ask yourself why no other species of animal uses SPF sun-block.
You cant get any Vitamin K if you stay out of the sun. All the centurians on those remote islands are not covered in SPF sun-block, sorry and they will outlive your grandkids.

It did, you may not have heard about it, but it has been around for over 100 years. At least I have read about cases from the late 1800's.
It has continued to increase over the years but is mainly a problem with light skinned people.
I believe that there is also a relationship with blood type and with natural hair color.

That depends on the information inside.
I have known some used car salesmen who could build a far better house than some of the so called carpenters that I have known. Most of my family have been home builders so I know.

This is a reply to # 751,076the book is chock full of ideas and would be a good place to familiarize yourself with concepts, methods, materials, and protocols. but thats it. it is totally incomplete and may contain inaccuracies by commision and omission. if you are not well versed on the subject and can read it for free, its worth it.

I am in the health food/supplement business and deal with many chiropractors and naturopaths.
Not one takes anything that Kevin Trudeau writes as anything new or even very helpful and all of them thinks most of what he writes is totally bogus.
Why don't you list some naturopaths that support him? I may even know them,so I will verify your claims first hand.
