Has your doc found out what hormone is out of balance? I have a testostorone imbalnce (it's too high) and that caauses problems. Like cysts in the ovaries, it's called poly cystis ovarian syndrome. Other symptoms are facial and belly hair,
Acne on the face and back and weight gain. But, like my mom, some girls loss weight (or can't gain it when needed) and have too many periods. Mom used to have a period every other week, and it was always heavy. For pcos the medication metformin (also known as glucophage) helps. The hormone imbalace can cause problems with the insulin in your body, which causes female prolems too. The glucophage seems to be good at getting ovulation right and periods going normal. SInce I started glucophage in January I've had normal periods yea!!! (did I just say that?! Periods, the thing you love to hate!!!)
