You are 50% of the population, with the power and influence to ensure your own rights to decide for yourselves. Yet abortion rights are still debated and threatened in this day and age, the year 2006. Amazing.

I don't believe you are true to your word on abortion. Every one of you would get an abortion given the right circumstances. And no, you do not have 100% control of your circumstances. Your votes and idealisms and preaching and judgment serves only yourself or whatever you are serving, because you would not enforce those ideals on yourself unconditionally. You cannot apply judgment to another woman's situation to abort unless you are that woman.

Your judgment has been bought by men or politics or religion or just plain old luxury.

Men?
What men get out of banning abortion only serves to hurt women by controlling them. Men would not think twice about having abortions themselves if men carried babies - in fact men would wear abortions with status, like notches in their bedposts.

Politics?
"Saving the children" by outlawing abortion is a front used by politicians who need to clean their image from promoting war and the killing of our soldiers and support of the death penalty. They need something to counter the death they promote by claiming to save the unborn.

Religion?
Your judgment has perhaps been bought by religion, and what you get out of it only serves to hurt other women by controlling them. And get over the fact that everyone does not follow your religion. The crusades are over.

Luxury?
Your judgment of abortion is a luxury, based solely on your place in life and circumstances. Your judgment serves only to judge other women unconditionally, with self judgment being conditional. You want to make the decision for others, banning abortion as a blanket judgment on everyone else until you are faced with the circumstances, then you want to decide for yourself and certainly not be told by others what to do with such a personal decision.

A woman cannot favor banning abortion and not be hypocritical. Any woman on this earth has the potential to need an abortion. Any woman who refuses to believe this is living a life of luck and circumstance, living the luxury of not being "one of those" women. These women live a life of selfish judgment of others, who have a different plan for themselves should the unthinkable happen.

"But we can have conditional abortions for certain circumstances"
And who decides what circumstances are acceptable for abortion? You? Only a woman can judge for herself what circumstances are acceptable for herself. Period.

Poor women will be forced to back alley coat hanger hack abortions, while rich well-to-do rape victims pull strings to have illegal abortions performed professionally behind closed doors. Control. Hypocricy.

50% of the population and abortion is still on the way to being banned. You women have been sold and abused, and you come back and ask for more abuse.

What's worse?
The men, religion, and politics controlling women? Or the women who are gullible or naive enough to think they are immune to abortion? Or... those women who manipulate the abortion issue for their own hypocritical selfishness at the expense of other women?
