MoreThis is a reply to # 671,401technically it is advised to do a kidney flush prior to a liver flush... The Master Cleanse is also a kidney flush/
there are also soem very simple kidney flush recipes goto kidney flush links i think the Watermelon seed one is good/ i forget the others off top of my head.

MoreThis is a reply to # 671,401I drink Celery Seed Tea to cleanse my kidneys. I drink it several times a week as an ongoing cleanse - the tea is pretty good! It tastes a bit like veggie broth if you put a bit of salt in it. You can drink up to 3 cups a day, 3 times a week. The first day, if you drink 3 cups, you may feel some aching in your kidneys as they go into overdrive dissolving and passing toxins - I did. My kidneys hurt at first for about a day or two, just light twinges and aches, and now they never hurt anymore, so I know the tea is working for me.

This is a reply to # 671,406I don't think that you absolutely have to do the kidney cleanse first, but if you want to do it that way, I would think a week would be fine. After you do the Liver Flush you can continue with the tea as an ongoing thing. As a matter of fact, thanks for reminding me - going to make a cup right now ;)
You need to grind fresh Celery seed for each cup, so you can buy a small jar of it in the spice aisle of the supermarket. It's actually sort of hard to grind the little buggers - they're hard to break open, like flax seeds are. But you have to grind them with a coffee grinder or a mortar and pestle to release the cleansing properties. Off to make a cup!- Re: celery seed tea elly

I just buy it in bulk and that works fine as well.
I have a mortar and pestle, just need to put a little elbow grease into it and you will have a great tasting tea.
Even my son is drinking it now.

I am so glad this question was posted because a few days before my flush I had intended to ask you guys about a good simple kidney cleansing tea and low and behold here it is. You can't get any more simple than Celery seed tea.
Where can I find the Celery seeds already in tea form? I don't have a coffee grinder, but maybe I need to purchase one. I have those little things you hold herbs in to make herb tea that sit in boiling water,(sorry I don't know what they are called) Could I place the Celery seeds in them and make tea without grinding them first?
BTW, I was reading on the kidney cleanse forum that celery seeds used as a kidney cleansing tea can be toxic to your kidney, "BUT" I was thinking, How could something as natural to our everyday diets be toxic, even in tea form? I would like to do some kidney cleansing between liver flushes, kinda like hitting two birds with one stone, so to speak, "I love little birdies" Note I did not say "Kill" the birds? LOL

This is a reply to # 671,413This is driving me nuts - I can't remember where I read the Celery Seed info that said that optimally it should be ground fresh for each use - maybe it was in Andreas Moritz's book The Amazing Liver Flush? Anyway, here it does touch on the fresh issue, but on the other site I had somewhere it said it was a must to have it ground fresh for each cup. Gah I hate it when I don't bookmark something! I will try to find that. And congrats on another good liver flush!

I just went to the link you provided. I was reading that Celery seeds(Apium) is hypoglycemic, which is good for diabetics, but I wonder if this would cause me problems with the low blood Sugar thing and all, BUT, I was reading also about Watermelon seeds as a very good kidney cleanse too by Edgar Cayce and think I might try this. The same protocol making it as Celery seed tea. I wonder where I can get my hands on some Watermelon seeds? Maybe Walmart or somewere there is a nursery?

This is a reply to # 671,413I don't even bother with the seed grinding or mashing. I boil one tablespoon Celery seeds with two cups water until the seeds are soft.
I haven't totally figured out when the optimum "soft" point is reached, so I go by the color of the water.
Strain the seeds from the mixture and drink 1/2 cup of the tea four times a day.

This is a reply to # 671,405I made my first cup of Celery Seed Tea and it made me gag...I could barely get it down from the extreme bitterness. I even added some stevia to try to sweeten it a bit
This is what I did:
Steep one heaping tablespoon of freshly ground seeds in one cup of boiling water...
Am I making this too strong or doing something wrong??
I really want to be able to drink this, but I can't if it's truly this bitter.

This is a reply to # 671,405I have found that raw Celery lessens the Arthritis in my hands, so I eat a large raw piece every day. Then it seemed, to me, that Celery Seed Tea might also aid and perhaps decrease the symptoms even more. Maybe it will, but I find it a pain to prepare and was wondering why I just couldn't sprinkle it on my cereal in the morning, like I do with flax seed and eat it that way. Would that be effective? So far as I know my kidneys are fine and clean enough, it's the Arthritis I want to use it for. Anyone have any thoughts on that?
