Hi Donald,
My father has recently started on the gerson diet, after being diagnosed with lung cancer. He was told by doctors that there was nothing that they could do for him.
We live in England and have found someone to guide us through the diet, and we have started it at home with the help of my Mother!
After reading the Gerson book, I was begining to think more positively about a chance of survival. However I became more sceptical as I began to do more research on the web, finding articals warning people that the enemas could create liver infections, people could die of extream weekness known as a 'flare up' and stories of people who have visited the gerson clinic and found that the survival rate was a small 5 %.
I understand that you have to be a fighter to take on this vigourous routine and that there are bound to be a range of success stories and also stories of thoes who sadly didnt make it.
I just wandered what your opinion of the gerson diet is, as it would be lovely to hear from someone who has succeded with the diet, instead of just hearing or reading about it.
Have you experienced times of extream weekness, or any problems which have been enduced through the enemas? How long have you been on the diet?
It would be fantastic to hear from you, thankyou for taking the time to read this e-mail!
