Hi. Dont worry about it too much. I know how depressing it can be to be single for long periods of time but the sooner you start feeling good about yourself, the sooner other ppl will latch onto you. Im not overweight or anything, Im just incredibly shy. Im fine at interacting with people, I have lots of friends but I never manage anything more than that because Im shy. Its a curse. Everybody has they're own curse they have to deal with. Im sure you'll find somebody, dont lose hope or you might end up with the scars I have, and you dont want that, trust me.

Don't give up..there is someone out there for you!!! Your weight is not the problem and that is not why you should be tring to lose weight. A good man will love you no matter what your appearance on the out side. If health is an issue..definately work on the weight. I too am a heavy set woman and men are always approaching me even from a distance. Maybe you are too self conscious about your weight and appear to have low self esteem which is a big turn off to most men and probably the ones you are attracted to. Become more positive about your self for who you are and not what you look like... then and only then will you feel better about yourself but your positive outlook will attract more men as well. :) I am here for you if you want to chat :)

Angela, whether it's fair or not, you have to play the game with the cards that were dealt. I don't want to hear any more about these extra pounds that are keeping you from a good guy. Don't go on any stupid and dangerous diet or become an Ally McBeal because that is the road to hell. Do you exercise frequently? Do you eat junk? These questions gotta be answered because the guys you want to date are the same guys who want to date pretty women. You say you're pretty and this and that and I tend to believe you. Your writing style tends to lead me in the direction that you're extremely honest. All your personality traits seem to be hitting the target. For whatever reason, right or wrong, guys of the caliber you're gunning for want a physically appealing woman. Make yourself more appealing over a systematic, scheduled, realistic time period. Fifty-five pounds is a challenge that is workable, I'll tell you that right up front. If you were 100 over I'd say you better lower your standards, but I'm not saying that. Keep your A+ qualities and systematically upgrade your average ones. You'll be amazed at how many top-notch guys will notice you while you're "training". I wouldn't be surprised at all if with your spirit you landed the guy you want within months of your new program.
