Well, it only makes MY body temperature go up... not sure it does that to anyone else. I think it is some sort of "reaction" (probably not a good one). When I say temperature go up, I mean like this.... normally, in a movie theatre, I will be cold, so I wear long sleeves. But if I eat tofu, then I don't feel hot (like a summer day) but it is like the cold doesn't reach me. I can feel the heat coming (radiating) out of my skin. I can wear a sleeveless shirt in the movies and be just fine!
Anyway, I don't eat it very often. There was just this one type of tofu I liked, but after I noticed that reaction, and read up on tofu, decided to avoid it. Quite peculiar, though...
Besides, I think the calorie loss would be negligible. Maybe one pound in ten years? Besides, some say soy keeps you from losing weight. I'll stick with exercise.
If you want something for calorie loss, drink 2-3 cups green tea daily! That revs the metabolism!
