I've been reading all the stinky armpits postings (both past and current) for about a week. I've tried most of the traditional anti-perspirants, but by the end of the day I had this overpowering musky smell barely hidden by floral fragrance, so I gave up (though I still go back once in a while) .

I'm also massively paranoid about aluminum and parabens, so I've also tried the natural route:
Avalon Organics, Toms of maine, Lush's T'eo Deodorant (which would go with what someone said about using baking soda), alcohol/then applying one of the above -- and they do work, but only for about half the day, and when I do start to smell, I reek like a guy on the subway who hasn't washed for two days. The T'eo stuff was pretty good -- might work for someone less stinky and sweaty.

You might also want to try wiping your pits with tea tree oil before you go to bed, and then using the normal stuff in the morning. That sort of works for me -- but it seems pretty variable. You can't smell the tea tree oil in the morning except on your sheets.

And my last suggestion, though I've only tried this for the past two days (so take this with a grain of salt), is the new Addidas absorbent-deo that doesn't have aluminum. I saw it in a magazine last week. The chemicals listed are all things I've never heard and will probably prove worse than aluminum and parabens, but I have to admit that these are the first two days in at least a couple of years where my armpits are dry and stink free all day. I'll write in a week and tell you if this was a short lived fantasy. Hope that helps a little.

okay, I tried baking soda but it just gave me a rash. Is this problem really connected with our intestine? Well then why am I the only one in my family with this f***ing problem and to think, my bros. eat more red meat than I do! But okay, I’ll follow ur advice and do that Colon Cleanse thingy! thanks! is there any other colon cleansing products you all can recommend which can be found in pharmacies, not internet?
