My recollection from one of the Dr Shulze Video's is that he used things like cayenne and Aloe Vera. You could use Aloe Vera, but it is most effective if used from a fresh plant.
How fast results are seen can depend upon how much work you put into the process. The incurables program tailored to healing the knee couldn't hurt. Dr Shulze talks about juice fasting. This causes the body to redirect its energies toward the healing process instead of digesting food. Also using the Dr Shulze foundational programs, colon, liver and kidneys and a very strong nutritional program, superfood, wheat germ oil, potassium broth, the healing diet (i.e. raw foods) if/when eating. Boost the immune system with echinacea and supertonic.
Dr Christopher spoke of many cases of healing injuries like this. He used the BF&C formula (the original one with Comfrey in it. It's a good idea to make sure the liver is well cleansed when comfrey is taken internally). Fomentations using strong teas, keeping on a solid program of applying and changing them almost continually for some time, if you can get the knee into a bucket of tea that would be good. Use the BF&C salve when your not doing fomentations. Also hot/cold hydrotherapy, and massage. See if you can massage and work the knee while in a hot tub. Take cayenne internally and several cups of BF&C tea daily (which can be purchased in bulk from www.herbsfirst.com). Massage with the Dr Shulze deep tissue oil.
Another thing that can be useful thing for knees is to pedal an exercise bicycle slowly with no resistance. You can do this by sitting stationary on a regular bicycle on a training stand and pedaling backwards. A good thing to do is to massage the knee before doing this to warm it up first. If the knee is very unstable, use an ace bandage or one of those slide on knee support things with a hole in the knee cap area when you ride the bike. This helps to increase circulation, but see if it feels right to you. If the knee is very loose due to missing cartilage, this might not be something you need.
Patience. Particularly since this is an old injury probably with scarring, it can take a while to heal. Avoid trama to the knee. If particular activities that you do cause severe pain, then consider weather you might be causing further injury to it. Adjust your lifestyle to support healing the knee in a loving manner.
