It is not fine to judge some one, call them names, or put a person down by telling them they are stupid or ignorant.
Supporting a person does include being allowed to discuss what is being posted about. If you think you can help a person then by all means go for it.

I agree that poster's should not be abusive but a person simply sharing their opinion that a certain behavior is destructive could be construed by the next person as being "judgemental."
I personally don't think ignorance is a big fat negative. Everyone is ignorant of something...if we all knew everything we wouldn't come to forums to learn.

what is NOT fine is saying things like:
"well you are just plain ignorant if you can't see what is going on "etc...
rather than saying
"i think you are failing to see what is going on..."
see the difference?
key word, attack the message , but NOT the messenger..
esp not with namecalling slurs
and as always this is a support forum
so that means no mudslinging threads..
that do nothing but name call folks
thus doing nothing to address the posters concern.
you can answer a post with negative concerns
about how it might affect them healthwise,
emotionally, or physically .
you can say "dump the guy ", " he is using you
,
without saying " dump that x x x x
he is just xing you" xcetera lol
and if you can't see that then you are a "X"
i hope this demonstrates the difference.

This is a reply to # 534,241I don't think I've misunderstood. I think that one or two people are simply making the decision on what stays and doesn't and there are no set guidelines. For instance, up above a poster asked if anyone had a source for good sex stories and was given a "friendly reminder" by blueduck that there will be no posting of URLs for sex sites...that is not what this support forum is for.
But just below that we have someone describing in detail how to give a handjob. Apparently this is okay to be supportive of but not the guy who is interested in sex stories...he is told to google it.
Lets get serious here and be a bit more even handed with these posts...or at least set down sdome real guidelines.- Re: you misunderstood. Blueduck
