Hi Lynne! The walk was great. Didn't have time today, but will try again tomorrow.
The psyllium is for the colon cleanse. I'm not using enough to be very effective, but I guess some is better than none. I am taking Paragone for the
parasite cleanse, and no, I have not seen a thing. I guess that's good? I even put an old garage sale colander in the toilet so I wouldn't miss anything...
We will gain back some of the weight. Right now we have NO food in our digestive tract. I expect to gain 2-3
pounds back once I start eating, because I'll have a few meals in there at a time. But that's all I'll allow myself. I think in the past I've said to myself, "its just a few pounds, you're still doing well." I give myself permission to regain. Now I've decided that if I hit the 5
pounds point, I'll immediately go on a juice fast or MC. I WILL NOT GIVE MYSELF PERMISSION TO REGAIN MORE THAN 5 POUNDS.
I was reading the archived forum #6, and there was someone who went over 40 days! Very interesting reading, but I'm not going to go past 30...
I have my DR appt tomorrow. This is the one where he decides if I continue on state disability or return to work. I can't wait to see his face when he sees I've lost so much weight. I told him I'd lose 30
pounds by the end of October, and I'm almost there. I know he thought I'd not even get close!
Well, gotta get dinner started for my family. Have a great evening! Keep up the good work. We're gonna make it!
Rhonda
I am fortunate in that I don't have to deal with holiday food. But I am facing a return to work, where food is out on desks and tables at the end of each row! That will be hard. Again, I'm just telling myself I cannot have even 1. For me, its hard to stop once I start. SO I'M NOT GOING TO START. I like the point in the 12 Steps to Raw book about cooked food being an addiction. If I allow myself "some", I'm not "sober" and I'll be feeding the craving. I also agree with that book that the addiction will always be there. So I'm going to try the 100% raw for LIFE. I've already tested myself, and when I try to eat mostly raw, with some cooked, I can't stop the binging.
