Hey all,
Day 2 and all is going well.
Last year when I did my first fast it was not for weight loss. I had become extremely ill and missing over three weeks worth of work. Respirtory infection - probably pneumonia - and I thought I was going to die. I hate doctors and the whole anti-biotic thing - even if I could afford a doctor!
On my first 10 days I lost 15#, my skin cleared up and my allergies went away. About a month later I did 23 days and lost another 35# then over the course of spring and summer I went from over 300# down to 230#. From a 54" waist down to a 38".
I got lazy over the holidays and backslided into some old bad habits and am back up to 250#.
My goal this time is for a full 40 days and am hoping to get down to 200#.
I know this goes against alot of "expert recommendations" but I never looked or felt malnourished. In fact many people didn't even recognize me the first time they saw me after my weight loss - including my ex-wife! (That was fun...) I became the poster boy for Master Cleanse at my local health food store. Whenever I went in the owner would go on and on about how good I looked - I'll admit it, it was an ego boost!
The important thing to remember is that this fast will put you in touch with your body like you never have been before. Learn to listen to it! If it says stop - then stop.
I can personnaly gaurantee that you will not die of starvation if you go 40 days on
Master-Cleanse - unless you have some pre-existing condition that could cause.
