My problem is that it takes food 5 days to pass through my system. I am now regular and have a couple BM's everyday due to eating more fiber, less junk food, more water, more exercise, less caffeine and alcohol. But I have about 5 days worth of food in my intestine/colon at any given time and I know this is not healthy. Is there a safe way to flush most of this out so I can keep eating right and exercising and hopefully the meals after this flushing will come through my system in less than 5 days? Or is my digestive system really messed up and will continue to process things at such a slow pace? Having this much food in me, always makes me feel full and like I have to make another BM even after I just went. I also have a lot of gas at times and bloating, and other IBS symptoms. My doctors are idiots and dont know jack. They just tell me to eat more fiber and I'll be magically cured.

There's several different methods/products for cleansing the colon, so you'll want to check them all out before deciding. I'm sure some others will offer some tips/advice.

This is a reply to # 465,211I tried Colonix for 2 months and it didnt do a damn thing for me. I was thinking of trying Oxypowder next and see if that could get things out of me. I guess they said it would clean the walls of my intestines but wouldnt speed things up or flush everything out of my system.
I read the articles, very informative, and I've read many articles on the subject all ready. They both suggest to do their programs to get back to normal, which is what I thought colonix was supposed to do. Im thinking of doing Oxypowder then plan B from the first article and see how that does.

This is a reply to # 465,214Colonix didn't work for me either. I too have an extremely slow system. I was lucky if I was able to have one bm per week. I have eaten a whole foods vegan diet for most of my life and tried every remedy known to man to help my chronic constipation, including several prescriptions which did little more than make me feel like I was going to vomit. Anyway, I believe I have discovered a miracle in Oxypowder . I cannot believe how good it feels to have a bm everyday! I don't have any recollection of ever being able to do that. MoreThis is a reply to # 465,217I use Oxypowder as well. It is amazing, but you have to use it right to get the best results. Even if you don't, it will still work. In other words, if you take it at night you will be going the next morning. If not immediately, as soon as you drink some water you WILL be going.
I suggest using Para-Buster or something similar as well. You will pass parasites on Oxypowder , but only some of the ones in your digestive tract. It won't kill the tough ones or the ones in places other than your intestines and colon.

This is a reply to # 465,214...and remember: it took years/decades to get your colon into it's present condition (and if you had a sad diet when you were a child, it might have always been this way). It'll probably take at least several months to clean, empty and get the muscular strength back into your system.

Because of the fiber in your diet you will have gas your having plenty of good movements also. You can take a enema and make a apointment at a colonic clinic they will clean your system out good, thats whay i have done. Take a enema before going to the colinic clinic its very helpfull.
