I had tests done and showed an 8 for IgM antibodies on a scale of 0-10 and a 7 for IgG. So, the doc says there's nothing w/me candida-wise and won't help (I'm w/in the normal range). Does anyone know about this test - I'm desperate. Been sick 5 years, nausea, sore throats, congestion, fatigue, sore joints, depression, and on and on. But, no one will help me. I did try some probiotics and white stuff came out of my BM's, the doc says it's just mucus or from a virus, and he says he should know because he's worked w/candida patients before. Help - should I try more on my own - has any one thought they had it, but the blood tests didn't definitively show it so you couldn't get help. My adrenals are also low, and my DHEA is that of an 80 year old woman - I'm 40. Need advice, desperate. He's making me think I don't know what I'm talking about - wish I had proof of my candida (at least that's what I think it is). Had every other test under the sun. Also had an ASO test come back at 399, scale 0-199. That means I've had serious strep infection, which yes, I've had strep over and over again. He says I tend to be hypoglycemia too which could make me nauseaous. Can't all this be a vicious cycle started from candida? Are there any other tests? Help!!! Thanks. Thinking about trying 3lac as a last resort - from experience does anyknow know if it helps w/these conditions?

I am so sorry you are so sick!!
I will be 40 this year too. I can relate to how you are feeling.
I am sorry to say most Doctors dont reconize candida although your seems to know some about it.
I would like to recommend you trying the candida spit test.
In the morning upon waking before you put anything into your mouth.
Get a clear glass with water in it. make sure it is filled up.
then work up some saliva in your mouthspit into the glass if you see strings or the water turns cloudy or the saliva sinks to the bottom of the glass with 45 minutes guess what? Your doctors wrong!
Threelac is a fantastic product and works wonderful with hydroxygen. Together they also will help you keep a good PH level.
You mention that you have had the sore throat and strep infection. HAVE you taken any Antibiotics for this condition?
If so you can pretty much guarantee the fact you have candida.
If so you might want to look into Threelac. I do not know anything about Primal defense although some say it works.
If you would like I would be happy to send you what information I have on the products. I know there are others here too that are having good success with the Threelac so maybe they can fill in.

I have seen so many doctors and they are not very into candida overgrowth. My opinion, it can't hurt to start with killing the yeast beast and see if it helps you. You sound like you have alot of the same symptoms I had and I know mine is yeast. Some excellent books I have read are "The Yeast Connection" (best information on yeast and symptoms), The Cure For All Diseases ", "From Fatigue to Fantastic" and "What Your Doctor Didn't Learn In Medical School" I really think the fibromyalga is lack of vitamins and minerals especially magnesium. Yeast depleats your vitamins and minerals. If your body is to acidic magnesium helps balance the PH. Since I started taking magnesium alot of the pains have disappeared. 300 mg a day. I also take a good vitamin and mineral supplement. And you might want to think about cleaning out your colon. GOOD LUCK!

You do seem to have symptoms in common with me, ie the sore throat, nausea, fatigue, sore muscles/joints, mood swings, although I have other additional symptoms but no problems with my adrenals I don't think. I don't know all that much about the different candida tests (apparently they all have their pitfalls), but I just recently got my saliva tests back (which is similar to blood test) and I had (with <10 being negative, and >10 being positive) IgG of 142 and IgA of 22!
Sorry if this confuses you more! Have you had any other symptoms which are definitely candida related, such as recurrent thrush? Your symptoms do sound like candida symptoms by they can also be associated with other problems such as food intolerances , chronic fatigue etc. I guess you have to do lots of reading and find a helpful doctor.

This is a reply to # 420,683I live in England and I had the saliva tests done by Individual Wellbeing Diagnostic Laboratories - you just send the sample off in the post. The saliva test is supposed to give similar results to a blood test, but with greater ease of sampling.
It seems to me, but you'd better ask about this, that the level of your antibodies to candida may depend on whether your candidiasis is primarily intestinal or systemic, as intestinal immunity differs slightly to your general immune system. Apart from the occasional acute feelings of food poisoning, I don't generally have all the intestinal problems people seem to be talking about. My main problems are flu-like symptoms and problems with my eyes and fatigue. On the 0-10 scale I had IgG of 142 and IgA of 22, which I was told is very high.
I think you can get saliva tests done by post in the US too, if that is where you live.

This is a reply to # 420,650i went to a medical acupuncturist for my diagnosis after seeing six other doctors who said that i did not have candida. find a doctor who will use a testing kit from "great smokies laboratories"......these are the best tests out there for candida....they actually test right from your stools and the will tell you if what you are passing is candida....and how to best treat it with western medicines.
what you can do now is order the book "the body ecology diet"....read it and start the diet.....it is making all the difference for me.....and it makes so much sense to heal the body with food. i am also on primal defense and plan to start threelac soon. still, i really feel that no matter what you have, doing the body ecology diet for at least three months will get you on the road to health.
i so empathize with your position and wish you so much love and speedy healing.

This is a reply to # 420,692I have read in several books that Great Smokies Lab is the best. I'm going to get the book "The body Ecology Diet" I have felt alot better just watching what I eat and taking vitamins and minerals. I read that you can check your saliva by spitting in a glass of water and if after 1 hour your spit has streamers running down to the bottom of the glass it is candida and if not the spit will just be floating.

This is a reply to # 420,650Probably it is not lack of probiotics only but lack of stomack acids to digest proteins and fats, so they do not go undigested into the blood stream and along with other debri.
I took 3lac, intetinew, and everything under the sky for leaky gut and nothing worked until I started this protocol:
What helped me:
Gargles with Hydrogen Peroxide or Peroxil. Kill accumulated old bacteria in mouth and throat and leaves a clean fresh breath.
Probiotic and enzymes compuound
B6 vitamine (pyridoxine hydrochloride)
Now I am going to add B2, since I read that it helps B6 to digest proteins and fats better.
According to people who know if food is not well digested proteins and fats go into the blodstream along with fecal matters that make the body smell bad.
Avoid soy proteins (my body smelled worse when I went to fast food chains since the food is full of soy proteins that worsened the problem. I am still afraid of soy protein and still read labels.
Try it:
