Since anyone who has an open mind will accept that the products of the Liver Flush are potassium carboxylates as the Lancet article demonstrates, surely this forum is defunct? This is a reply to # 413,136and by the way, do you think people will stop flushing based on that silly lancet article? hardly. liverflushing has been attacked by much more prominent persons than yourself, but oddly, it continues to spread and grow... why? very simple, it works. i think that is the part that bothers you the most. you think you have proven it false, and yet it helps so many people. so for you, its easier to call these people stupid or deluded than try and understand how it works. viva la green blobs indeed, and yellow, black, white and so on.

People do the liver flush because it works, and causes them to feel so much better. No matter what the ailment, liver flushing offers relief.
Who cares about some stupid lancet article! Anyone that has done any true research knows they are paid off by the suits that run the pharmaceutical industry. Most, if not all articles are so biased that they can't contain any truth! I'm sorry if that offends some.
If a person is desperate to re-gain their health and opens their mind and borders they will learn a whole lot of truth that is suppressed from the mainstream medical cult. With that said, it also needs to be said that if you have not tried the "remedy" or "cure" yourself you cannot form an honest opinion and therefore cannot spread your hearsay as truth.
Why do you think that the journals are filled with studies on natural healing?

I have the answer: There is no big money to be earned in natural healing!
The mainstream medical cult is run by money as the goal and first priority. Shouldn't the first priority be the health and welfare of the patients?

This is a reply to # 413,164the lancet article also failed to account for bile sludge. very odd, negligent or intentional? and frankly, i still do buy your "opinion" that people stop getting Gallstones in flushes because the body has somehow adjusted to the oil. sorry, but makes no sense. if you are serious, you are going to have to explain it.

My explanation may not make sense to you, but that does not mean it makes sense. There are numerous examples of the body adapting to all sorts of stimuli (noxious or otherwise).- Re: something odd... johng

You seem to be under the misapprehension that the Lancet article should cover that - why I don't know. Perhaps you could explain? The Lancet article is what it claims to be - an analysis of what is claimed to be gallstones. That is a good piece of research - it shows that without doubt that what this lady claimed were Gallstones were not, and it showed the green blobs were the product of the digestion of olive oil and lemon juice. The logical conclusions from that you choose to deny.

This is a reply to # 413,189the lancet article states that 75% of what ONE WOMAN flushed was something other than gallstones. big deal, not the conclusive evidence you claim. what about the other 25%? what about sludge? what about testing other people? hardly a satisfying experiment, even assuming the source is trustworthy.

This is a reply to # 413,190That's not actually what the article said johng. Do you now see what I mean about reading medical research. The article says that 75% of the material was fatty acids. It doesn't say the other 25% is biliary sludge at all. Considering how much of the mass of normal faeces is bacteria it would not be surprising to find some bacteria in there would it?

This is a reply to # 413,194not unaccounted for as such. I think you have an incomplete understanding of what analysis involves. do you have much schooling in chemistry?
in a peer-reviewed journal these questions may well be tackled in the correspondence - this is why to properly read a paper you need to read any accompanying letters etc. the raw data will be available from the authors - another characteristic of peer-reviewed publications.

This is a reply to # 413,201the law is a separate issue from Science (fortunately). you are also assuming. for someone who claims legal knowledge you accept extreme treatments on very flimsy evidence eg subjective experience. what about "semper praesumitur pro negante"? that's the basis of evidence-based medicine.
