hi!
madame that is a very good question and very true.once saved always saved. however that is not the full story.no one and i do mean no one, except jesus christ, the first born fron the dead.contrary to popular belief most christians think they are saved wher they are baptized and give thier hearts to god. incidently all of you already belong to god.it is just a matter of obeying god.to find someone that trully obeys god today is indeed a rarety.
now for the proof from the bible.
mat.10:22 "and you will be hated by all for my name's sake.but he who endures to the end shall be saved." (some bibles say will be saved, same thing)
mat.24:13 but he who endures to the end shall be saved.
mark 13:13"and you will be hated by all men for my name's sake.but he who endures to the end shall be saved."
you see it must be important because god caused it to be put in these three places as well as other scriptures through out the bible.there is something very important that you must pay attention to,and that is you will notice that these verses say very plainly that you sall be or will be.that is speaking of a future event.
salvation is an ongoing continual event as long as you live and continue to obey god.salvation is complete when you are judged and changed to a spirit being, then youy can look on god for the first time.because now a phyiscal being cannot look at god. remember when god hid moses in the rock so he could pass and moses only saw his backside.
most christians are of the false belief that they go to heaven when they die. not so,jno.3:13 very plainly says(pay very close attention)no one has ascended to heaven but he who came down from heaven, that is,the son of man,who is in heaven.
also please noticn jno 6:44 no man (mankind to include women)can come to me unless the father who sent me draws(means to call)him; and i will raise him up at the last day.(did you notice that?god himself said that he would raise him up at the last day)i don't know about you madame but i perfer to believe god.
