"Have you eperienced weight loss from the saunna?"
Not really. I can't quit eating. I'm sure that I would have gained more weight without it though.
I'm sure there is some water loss to begin with, but the sauna is supposed to burn calories, so if losing weight is your target, and you watch what you eat, and exercise, I have no doubt that you would indeed lose weight.

"Outstanding Caloric Consumption and Weight Control
In Guyton’s Textbook of Medical Physiology, we find that producing one gram of sweat requires 0.586 kcal. The JAMA citation referred to above goes on to state that, "A moderately conditioned person can easily sweat off 500 gms. In a sauna, consuming nearly 300 kcal- the equivalent of running 2-3 miles. A heat-conditioned person can easily sweat off 600-800-kcal with no adverse effects. While the weight of the water loss can be regained by dehydration with water, the calories consumed will not
be." Since an infrared sauna helps generate two to three times the sweat produced in a hot-air sauna, the implications for increased caloric consumption are quite impressive. Assuming "a sauna" as mentioned in JAMA, to last for 30 minutes, some interesting comparisons may be drawn. Two of the highest calorie output forms of exercise are rowing and marathon running. Peak output on a rowing machine or during a marathon run burns about 600 calories in 30 minutes.
Your infrared sauna can, thus, play a pivotal role in both weight control and cardiovascular conditioning. This would be easily valuable for those who don’t exercise and those who can’t exercise, yet want effective weight control and fitness maintenance program and the benefits that regular exercise can contribute to such a program."

Weight loss is a bonus compared to the health benefits of detoxing in a sauna.
If I had it to do over again, I would consider this sauna.

For sure you want.
Poplar wood. Other wood outgasses and burns the eyes
Ceramic heaters. " Ceramic heaters are known to emit 95% + of the total heat in Far Infrared form. Incoloy is known to emit only 50-60% of its heat in Far Infrared form. Ceramic has also shown to emit the majority if its
FIR (Far-Infrared-Sauna) between 7-12 microns (as shown below). Incoloy emits the majority of its
FIR (Far-Infrared-Sauna) between 0-7 microns. You will benefit from both ceramic and incoloy, but you want to get is as close to and as much 9.5 micron wavelength as possible. You will get a much higher concentration of 9.5 "
Things that are nice to have.
Controls inside and out.
Constant heat
The more room, the better 2 person better than 1, 3 better than 2 etc. You can change positions. Sit lay down, turn sideways etc.
Just some insights after owning one for a while.
Good luck
