It would be very frightening to put your health and your life in the hands of others, especially others that have such an abysmal track record. Taking responsibility for one's own life is extremely empowering and is as it should be. There are a lot of lazy people out there, a lot of victims. I have learned a lot about fear in the last few years, rational & irrational, through direct experience. We must continue to challenge ourselves in order to grow. It seems that a lot of folks define themselves at a young age...never changing, growing, learning. YAWN...

Cleansing can contribue to a sense of ease (while coherency is sought through cleansing), as it works like a harmonic of the same expression, only at another level. Physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual "frequencies" just repeat over the "scale" of consciousness. So working in one part of the spectrum leverages another part of the spectrum because indeed they are the same only differenicated by interference patterns that creat the illusion of difference.

So working on coherency in the area of the physical body will also work on the emotional, mental, and spiritual levels because in actual fact they are all the same.
Just like the note 'C' repeats up and down the scale, so it is the same with the frequencies that make up the "experience" of life.

what a great observation, eric. the answer is quite simple. ignorance causes a fear response in humans. you are educating yourself both intellectually and in a practical manner, so your lack of ignorance gives you confidence instead of fear.

they, otoh, are lost. their health seems random to them, an act of god to some(he always gets a bad rap). plus they go to strangers and let them cut, poke and poison them. the thought of going to a doctor scares the hell out of me because i know what they are capable of and have no idea what they are incapable of.

sick people run in fear into the great unknown. sounds psychotic to me. they are scared out of their minds, and for good reason. they have no idea what is going on here. imagine the prospect they face on the other side!!!

you may have heard this story:

"I've heard, when a pride of lions are trying to catch their prey...that they have a well contrived plan. What they do, of course working together, they situate the oldest, fiercest "sounding" lion at one side of a path where there is a Y in the road. This particular lion is actually no real threat to their victim. But, boy can it roar...loud and fierce.

Well, here comes their dinner bounding down the path... Maybe a tender, delicate little antelope. The fierce sounding lion begins to ferociously roar with all it's might... In an effort to swiftly get away from the threat, the antelope, full of fright, runs down the other path of the Y...which of course leads to a dead end...

When the victim gets to the end of the trail...guess who's waiting? You got it...the younger, stronger lions of the pride, who are very hungry and waiting for their dinner to arrive."

I've been following a cleansing routine for quite awhile now, yet I still harbor a lot of fear. Perhaps because my environment is incoherent..?

A good friend of mine saaaays, 'Save your money from the therapists and all of the products that throw out claims - simply fill your body full of [organic] nutrition and superfoods, and as your body is cleanses, your mind will follow suit.'

Although many agree with this, others say you must work on the Mind and the Body will change as thought patterns are broken. [Perhaps I best fit this category, as I have dropped the bulimia habit, and I consume more greens and organic produce and far far less fat and dried fruit than I have than ever before, yet my intestines are more swollen than they've ever been and I experience much more pain].

.. I guess where I'm ATTEMPTING to go with this post is, one must cleanse both the mind and body, which will happen through change of diet and change of environment.. that includes people, too.

Is there any chance, in your opinion, that thinking of one's self as 'toxic'/needing cleansing, leads to a negative self-image? ...Is counter-productive?

Do you think we should be careful what we focus on? Or, be careful of the attitude we carry about ourselves and all we do?

...Lest we get MORE of what we don't want.

It seems to me that the confusion over what is 'right', even in alternative healthcare, could lead to an unhealthy dose of the heebie-jeebies.

I don't feel as fearful now as I did prior to beginning an alternative health regime.

But, the true test might come.....

What kind of fear will I have if I get truly sick? Face cancer? Face a failing organ?

I think many of you are spot on even though the answers may differ from one to another. I just found fear among people a very interesting observation in my day to day life and hope I continue to learn and free myself af all that seems to enslave us.
