i read a few articles regarding taking high very high levels of organic vitimin C - say up to 10 or 15g - as a wonder cure for asma, clogged heart arturies, the comomon cold, and a plethora of body cconditions that would fill a book. basically the immune system is given a turbo boost to the exstent that nothng is able to overpower it (thats to my simplistic and rather layman thinking; correct me if you will). also related is: a lack of vitimin c is regarded as the scurvy condition; the vast majority of animals produce high levels of C in stressfull situation to combat devoping problems, humans being of the few who don't resulting disease ect... you can read about at

what the consensus view is on this at large? are people in agreeing, or is this typical far fetched hype out of control. are high levels of C are safe, or does it acidify the body.
i am new to this infomation and searching to a balanced perpective.
