Why are hybridized nightshade vegetables legal?

The native Americans understood the importance of these foods. They considered them sacred. The tomatoes and potatoes of today bear little resemblance to what was eaten by native peoples before the food was hybridized. If the Monsnato corporation has its way all of our food should be illegal.

The article said nightshades are bad because of nicotine content. I agree with this because the food of today has been made that way. In old times farmers and Indians ate tobacco in small quantizes in stews in salads. People back then gave it to their horses to eat if they wanted to have fine horses. Do this today with commercial tobacco and you'll become very sick.

I first heard about the consumption of tobacco in John Thomas's book "Young Again." I was quite surprised by this but not so anymore. I would like to try some non-hybridized/commercial tobacco in a salad someday. I don't smoke or chew, by the way.

Also, people tend to do things in excess. A lot of people become rawfoodist and eat a ton of nuts, like a raw vegan cheese cake made almost entirely of cashews, for example, and wonder why they feel worse. Same with the nightshades.

You can find heirloom seeds and plants if you are lucky. The tomatoes in the store today bear little resemblance to what our ancestor ate years ago. Even the organic ones.

Lastly, the book on eating right for your blood type did not help me. I'm A+. A lot of the food recommended for my blood type makes be sick and the food that's supposedly bad for me gives me energy. He says coconut oil is to be avoided for all blood types. This is simply wrong. He must have not experienced raw organic centrifuged coconut oil.

I attended one of their dinners where they handed out a list of common mistakes that people make when they go raw. Some of the suggestions were very useful. One of the things they point out is taking care of your teeth on a raw food diet.
