From my research, the conventional wisdom seems to be all
Sugar is bad. What I've found, personally, is that
Sugar from organic fruits, and perhaps a little organic cane juice in soy milk or gluten-free, wheat-free cereal, is fine.
A number of people seem to think that consuming vitamin c in fruit and building up your immune system is futile because your immune system must be broken if you have candida. I'm just not buying this. I bought an organic "antioxidant drink" full of organic fruit juices and eat at least one to two pieces of fruit a day (apple, orange, strawberries) and feel like I'm beating the candida.
I think any organic
Sugar you get from what I outlined above is fine, just be smart and don't overdo. It's just my opinion and my system isn't as severely compromised as some on here. But your body is obviously full of toxins if you have candida, and there's only going to be more as you start killing it off. Why not help your body with the antioxidant and disease-fighting qualities in fruit?
Stay away, obviously, from ALL processed sugars found in candy and the like, but natural, organic sugar isn't all bad. As Shroom has said, your body still needs some of it.
