Lithia
For the passed few years I have cut out all beef, pork, and processed foods from my diet. I consume chicken and fish in moderation, say, one serving per week of both. I eat fresh whenever possible, my second choice is frozen. The only dairy I consume is organic yoghurt (StoneyField Farm) and maybe two bowls of ice cream a week and I never drink milk or eat cheese. I make sure I get plenty of amino acids, my favorite source is tomatoes, peppers, onions, and garlic that I stew down and use for a topping for eggs (once a week) and the rest I will add as a base to my homemade soups that I'm famous for!! That is mainly what we live off of, soups, meatless chilli, and a few nights a week we sit down to a plate full of fresh steamed veggies. Our snacks are usually raw fruits and nuts. We consume very little juice in our house, our main drink being water.
Two weeks before the cleanse I eliminated all meat, and dairy. The week before the cleanse I eliminated pasta and bread. 3 days before the cleanse I cut out the nuts, beans, potatoes, and corn. I ate mostly a light veggie soup and watermelon. Do you think that this was a good way to prepare for the cleanse?
If you haven't checked out my blog, I used to be an alcoholic, and a drug abuser. I know that I could take it slowly and detox over time, but to be honest with you, the worst days of detox for me are NOTHING compared to what I used to do to myself on a daily basis.
Thanks for your advice and support!!!
