I agree totally. My interest was when my vision and memory were failing in 2003, I read on here about mercury, and detox methods. While I did not use what others suggested and instead went my own way, what I did learn was what others were doing. I also learned how medicine has been politicized, and of the many shams provided by the alternate medicine folk, and the non-alternate folk as well. Watching the drama play out, etc., and learned how much confusion there is not only w/respect to detoxing heavy metals, but many other topics of interest. I enjoyed participating in the
Iodine project, we've seen a lot of people re-learn what was known long ago, including many MD's. I see there are many more iodine-knowledgeable MD's out there, so the quality of the endocrinologists has increased somewhat. I don't conceive it is an exaggeration to say this website had some role in increasing the quality of some proportion of the endocrinologists' work.
My vision and memory are much improved vs 14 years ago. Another think I've learned is how to spot BS pretty quickly, but I admit I've read thousands of hours about these topics.
I've been able to graduate to bigger and better topics. One thing I've observed is a late-stage hospice person defeat a malignant pleural effusion, defeat cachexia, and extensive lymphedema. This was after all others abandoned the person to die. But this knowledge does not come cheap, it requires extensive study and being able to spot the BS. The gist of the matter can be summed from John 14:6 "I am...the truth..." The job of the anti-Christ is to conceal the truth and in its place put a myriad of confusing lies, that's just the way it is. For every ailment, there is a reason, and most of these diseases have a cure provided. Warburg was proven wrong on the irreversibility of cancer, many times over. If you think about it, there are definitely cases of C where the body recovers on its own. This piece of data tells you that there is a biological mechanism for such spontaneous recoveries. Once you have a clue for the cause and the restorative mechanism, then there is a high chance of good things happening. Half the battle is diet, and its not so much what to eat, as it is more so what NOT to eat. There are many seemingly-good foods which actually interfere with the restoration of aerobic glycolysis, citrus fruits including oranges, etc. strawberries being just some of them.
I'd like to thank you, Southern Belle, for being there and protecting the
Iodine forum, at the time it was under attack by some unscrupulous weirdos, it was nice having you as an ally, and we might not have made it without you. xxoo
