About six months ago I started using dental disclosing tablets to show where I am missing plaque during brushing. This week I went online to look for a different brand. The dye in the tablets I have been using is red dye # 28 (i think). I got to thinking that I did not know what the chemical name is of this dye. So, I looked it up. One of the names for this dye is Phloxine B. Never heard of it. I looked up the chemical diagram for it. A shocker for me.....it contains both bromine and chlorine!
I have been on the
Iodine protocol for about 2-3 months. I saw a small amount of progress, mainly an increase in my energy level, a decrease in depression, a decrease in anxiety. I started with Lugotabs, then switched to Iodoral. I seem to tolerate/need a lot of iodine. I finally was able to get
Lugols Solution from J. Crows. Currently, I am using a 50 mg tablet of Iodoral, cut in half, two times per day. Well, 50 mg did not seem to be doing much. I still have the cherry angiomas. I still feel cold most of the time (cold hands, too). When I received the Lugols, I started with one drop in my morning coffee. I have worked up to two drops in my morning coffee, and two drops in the evening (in juice). So that totals 75 mg. (A side note, I have had a "wet" nose since about the last ? two weeks.) I did not start out to use both Iodoral and
Lugols but since I have them, I am using them both. I hope to soon order my own ingredients to make my own
Lugols and use only that.
The description on Wikipedia said that Phloxine B releases bromine when exposed to light (I am typing this from memory).
I am also taking three meds. 1) Wellbutrin 150 mg in morning only. 2) Klonopin .5 mg as needed 3) Buspirone 15 mg at bedtime. For
Depression and anxiety. Unfortunately, these medications have had the side affects of causing me to have poor memory, poor concentration, and disorganization.
The above mentioned medication side affects have made in difficult for me to remember things like drinking the salt water. I also have short term memory loss (one example-I go to the sink to get a glass of water. When I get there, I forgot why I went to the sink.)
Does anyone know if there is enough bromine in the disclosing tablets to cause a problem such as I still have the cherry angiomas?
Also, I was hoping the
Iodine would cause me to warm up...not feel cold most of the time.
Any ideas or suggestions?
