Yes, you have to proceed slowly.
Why did you decide to take HC?
Did you have relevant test results?
Did you ramp up slowly or just started at 30mg?
Not tolerating 30mg doses does not mean you won't tolerate more common 10 or 15mg doses. You might just be taking too much or failed to ramp up slowly enough to allow your body to adapt to more healthy levels of cortisol.
Also did anyone explain the concept of "stress dosing?" This is a better reflection of how your body makes cortisol based on need.
After testing my friend's doctor thought she'd do well at 15mg; however she quickly gained weight around the middle as she increased to around 12mg.
She has been doing well on just 5-7mg HC plus 50-70mg pregnenolone and some progesterone cream 3 weeks per month. She also takes a supplement from her FM doc containing glandular and some herbals. She'll take a little extra hormones-- a stress dose--occasionally for a day or so after stressful events.
Hormones can be powerfully wonderful when taken correctly by those who really need them. They can be quite problematic when abused.
