Hi everyone,
This is my very first post and I'm quite worried.
My doctor diagnosed me with an anal fissure 2 weeks ago and prescribed me some ointment.
I applied the ointment but bowel movements were painful and sometimes bloody with slimy dark rubbery mucus.
I also have internal hemorrhoids and an external one.
During the time I did the ointment and warm water treatment there were days where I had no blood whatsoever in my stool.
I decided to go the Water Fasting route 4 days ago with little preparation.... Other than drinking soup and very little carbs the day before.
Mainly because I wanted to give my bowels a rest.
My reasoning is that the fissure felt like it couldn't properly heal because every bowel movement could tear it open again and I wanted my body to heal itself.
Now 4 days into the fast and every day I have up to 4 bowel movements with bloody discharge and the dark rubbery slimy discharge again whereas before therethere were days when this would not occur.
In my mind I'm imagining a thousand scary scenarios but I would really like your point of view please.
I'm having an appointment with my proctologist next week in any case.
I'm afraid to continue this water fast..

Hemorrhoids are connected with your gut not being healthy. To help the hemmoroids heal try raw potato poultice for ten minutes twice a day, clean your behind with water and not tissues, or you can make a round wedge from a potato and use that as a suppository before bed. Next morning you should feel ok.
After you heal you should consume raw fruits and vegtables for a week and see if this helps, if not then you need to investigate what is causing the hemmoroids and treat the cause.
Fasting will help you but may take a long time. Your body is throwing out stuff it does not need. Your doctor will not agree with this approach. We do get sick overnight and we not get healthy overnight.
If you are eating meat and processed foods, then that will need to change. Stay on high fiber diet, get probiotics in your diet, such as kimchi, plain yogurt, kefir, and probiotics pills. Don't drink caffeinated drinks. Make sure you do not eat spicy foods till you get better and Hemmoroids are healed.
Drink warm water while you are fasting, cold drinks and foods will contest your bowels.

Thank you so much for your reply.
I am currently not having any pains anymore which are usually associated with piles and internal hemorrhoids.
This seems a logical situation seeing as I don't ingest any food during this water fast.
The main concern for me is this mucous type dark slime I'm defecating each day, associated with blood.
I can only imagine that due to my body expelling this slime it tears open my fissure every time, hence the bloody bowel movements.
I appreciate your advice and I will take all you wrote into account.
I plan on breaking my fast this Saturday and slowly go back to eating.
I'll start with vegetable soups and fruit juices for a couple of days.

Sorry to bother you but exactly how would i go about applying the potato gratins into the anal canal?
Also, you wrote that i could make a round tip suppository out of that but wouldn't that be dangerous to get that into the anal canal?
After all, it's not going to be dissolved like a regular suppository.

I saw my proctologist today and here are his findings :
-no more spasms
-anal fissure almost completely healed
(this means i'm going to stay on the juice diet with vegetable soups and the occasional slice of whole bread and lots of soft fruits like melons/grapes/mango/pears and also drink lots of water.... at least untill june 8 when i need to go back for a checkup)
-internal hemmorhoids have shrunk considerabely
-internal ulcer is cured and is now having scar tissue
So i was able to pass normal stool this morning with no blood/mucus/pain
I feel much better and i also went the coconut oil route and i'm sure it helped cure the fissure in combination with my 5-day water fast.
So i'm really happy and thought i'd let you know ;-)
I will certainly keep up the coconut oil treatment untill i'm completely sure everthing cleared up 100%

Coconut oil inserted into the anus clearly provides lubrication.
Does the oil also work as an anti+inflammatory agent?
Also, if you have experience with this method, how long did it take for the fissure to heal?

Glad this works. It is anti-bacterial and anti-fungal as well, possibly also anti-viral, therefor ... anti-inflammatory. You can repeat as needed.
I rarely do have this problem - mostly with hard food or rough fiber as in bell-peppers. It takes maybe 3-4 days to heal using the oil while being very careful with food and elimination.

PS At this point if the matter coming out is rather hard you may benefit from enemas, while still using the oil - they will make the passage easier.
I also wanted to point out that the blood draining may be a sign of healing all these dilated vessels of the hemorrhoids.- Re: EDITED coconut oil locally Androx

I will certainly try this coconot oil (organic only i presume) method and will keep you posted.
Also, the loss of blood was a main cause for concern but i can see the logic in your response.
Next week i'm meeting up with my proctologist and i decided to take some of my stool to his office.
Now, let's hope he's got a strong stomache ;-)

Yes - better organic; it is going to be absorbed substantially, as well. And please, do keep us posted.
Your proctologist wouldn't be able to get in proctology if he had weak stomach ;). The sight of food remnants being a small price he pays for the bucks he gets out of the system. Pls, keep in mind MD are good in Diagnoses and telling you what their protocols are in each case, but know little about natural healing and its natural course.

I will certainly keep my diet on point in order to avoid a repetition in the future.
Lessons learned here.
Looking back I believe everything happens for a reason and I feel like sometimes the only way to get us to stop and pay attention is through pain.
It's certainly not enjoyable and I (and many others) could have gladly done without but at the same time I gained a lot of knowledge and support from the likes of a certain DesertLily :-)
Oh and by the way : when I showed the proctologist pictures (yes I took pictures with my phone) of my bowel movements and the bloody mucus he didn't even flinch and said it was normal for my body to get rid of old mucus when on a Water Fast ;-)
Guess his stomach was used to this by default.
Well, I hope you are doing fine and if you ever need to vent or need advice, I'm here :-)

This is a reply to # 2,317,889UGH! Doctors seriously don't know anything! I know that sounds bad, but I've seen 3 of them and tried all recommended treatments that all failed.
Save yourself time and money...look up Pranicure ointment. It was created mainly for just pruritus ani (anal itching), but helped heal my 2 fissures in about a month. Seriously a miracle product.- Re: Anal fissure plus internal and... Androx

Recently i came across your message and i must say that i'm glad i did because you mention Pranicure and i read lots of exellent reviews on this product.
I'm glad it exists and luckily i don't need it for fissures and/or hemmoroids but it's always nice to have around.
