Hi BrightEye,
I have neuropathy too.
I don't know how far along you are in healing your neuropathy and how much you know, but it gets worse before it gets better. Once the nerves start to regenerate you feel the pain increase. It's also a very slow process to heal. Could take months or even a year or two.
When I first started
Iodine I felt neurological pain from what I suspect was toxins irritating my injured nerves. This irritation didn't last. But it does seem to come and go through the months that I've been taking iodine.
And then I felt the pain more constantly and gradually more intensely but it's not the
Iodine that's causing the pain. it's because I was becoming more diligent with taking the supplements and then gradually increased my dosage of vitamins/mineral. It meant I was giving my body what it needs to repair the damage.
On one hand yeah, I think occasionally the toxins being expelled by
Iodine do irritate the nerves and slow the healing process down. On the other, taking iodine and high dosages of vitamins/minerals are what it takes to heal up. I actually think the iodine/vitamins help heal far more than the minor damage the toxins do when they're being expelled by the iodine.
I'm still in the middle of it myself but I can tell I'm actually getting better. You just have to be patient and know that you have to go though more pain in order to regenerate your nerves, but you are healing.
