Hello,
I am NOT on a raw vegan diet, that is my past. A few years now.
I have gone back to omnivore, & for the past few months I have added back into my diet, chicken.
In the first 3 weeks, I noticed the hair fall out slow, when I ate 200-250grams of protein/ day. However, I was not able to keep that going $$ at the time, & the fall out increased.
I have now been eating at least 150 - 250 g of protein from chicken & fish back into my diet. It does not seem to be decreasing.
Beans,(legumes), most raw vegetables, grains & gluten are sources I cannot digest, & rarely to never eat.
I did read from a source that white beans may be helpful in times of hair fall out.
**** THE HAIR IS FALLING OUT DUE TO *** SEVERE DEHYDRATION**** from 4 months ago ******* the first Doc told me I could have had a heart attack with the signs I was showing. I am 31.
I am also massaging EO's onto my scalp every night. I'm taking Saw Palmetto, Horse Tail, Vit D, & Nettles, I will try some other things as well.
I have just received blood tests to check my thyroid, iron, copper, ect ect - & everything is fine - I had pelvic pain during the dry fast, & now have nausea for the past 2 menses - which I'd NEVER experienced before. The last Doc I saw, which was today, pretty much just dismissed my concerns. Which is why I held off going in for so long. But the hair is not stopping, & I'm sure I will just have to "ride it out" - but now I have 1/2 the hair I had 4 months ago!!
If it keeps falling out, I may not have any left quite soon.
I will keep people up to date, on this forum of WHAT NOT TO DO. I've had a lot of WHAT NOT TO DO'S WITH ALTERNATIVE HEALTH, & THIS is DEFINITELY ONE OF THEM.
I even had an EKG done, as I'd had chest & heart pain & blood taste in the back of my throat with heart palpitations on the second day, - which I ignored as I only felt them once. Up until a month ago, I had chest & heart pain every day as well. My eyes have been not as dry & feel they have moistened also just in the last month.
So finger's crossed, that I don't lose it all. As I have been monitoring my cooked veg in variety/ leafy green juices/ quite high protein ( it's a chore ) , & what I can afford.
The Doctor I saw today, recommended Rogan, & Pre Natal pills - which I am fairly against taking, BUT - if it doesn't decrease, I'm already considering it.
I will probably go for another opinion, as I felt my concerns were dismissed.
Even IF I were to go to a naturopathic Doctor, I wouldn't even know where to begin.
I will post this again on the dry fasting forum -
Thank You for all replies & concerns.
