AngelofEventide
Hey everyone. It's been a bit since I posted here. I wanted to let you all know that I am writing a book about people like us, who have been ill with chronic autoimmune illnesses for a long time and how we have struggled with the medical community to take us and our illnesses seriously. After dealing with Lyme, Epstein-Barr, CMV, HHV-6, Mycoplasma, adrenal fstigue, mold toxicity, Candida and numerous other things for 20 years and making little improvement, I want to help get the word out. Over the years I have been on this journey, I have spoken to countless people from around the world, all who are in nearly the same boat that I am in, all looking for answers, all desperate for help and all beyond fed up with the medical and insurance communities who either refused to believe they were sick or do the necessary testing to find out what exactly they are dealing with. There are lots of books out there on cancer and such better known diseases, but very few real life stories about people like us, who are suffering in silence. I cannot pay you, but I can get your story out there and if I can get the book published, (I am probably going to self-publish through Amazon), I will get you a free copy. Each person will have their own chapter, as well as pictures of themselves, just as they are, struggles and all. This is not about pretty pictures, with all looking all dolled up. I am looking for realistic everyday life pictures of what you are going through, whether you are sequestered to bed, on a sofa, crying, hair falling out, in a wheelchair, or whatever it is. I am trying to make this as "in your face" as it can be, so that the public can see what we are going through and medical and insurance communities can see who they are denying. I live in So. California and if you are near me, I would love to interview you in person and take some pictures. If you are not near me, I can send you the interview questions, which you can return to me along with your pictures. I have six participants so far and my beloved, late mother who died of cancer two year's ago will have her story told as well. She too got treated horribly and might be alive today had her care been handled differently. I am still very ill myself so will do interviews as we both can handle it, but If you are interested, please pm me and we'll talk. Thanks for your participation. Kir
