Hello John,
While I agree that if there are signs of difficulty breathing, wild heart palpitations, dizziness, prolonged diarrhea, and prolonged vomiting, a trip to the hospital may be in order, let's look at the numbers and see where we stand.
1/2 teaspoon is about 2.5 ml.
2.5 ml X 22.4% gives you about 56 mg chlorite.
Assuming a body mass of 70 kg (154 pounds) we have a one time exposure of 56/70 = 0.8 mg/kg.
If Mommy2six participated in the NP001 trial for ALS the low dose target used was 1.0 mg/kg and the high dose was 2.0 mg/kg. These doses were well tolerated (within reason with reports of diarrhea, vomiting, and some loss of appetite). To get to the higher dose concentration Mommy2six would have to have a body mass under 30 kg (66 pounds). While I don't know her body mass I am assuming it is more than 30 kg.
Mommy2six, is your body mass greater than 30 kg?
In addition, she mixed it with milk which can reduce the effectiveness of sodium chlorite by 40 - 60%.
I must add that you can run all the numbers you want and if your body behaves differently you need to pay attention to your body. How you currently feel trumps all the numbers.
