That's even better.. it's amazing what they can see on ultrasounds. I found out about a lot of stuff I had no idea about (non
parasite related even) I have them done every Thursday.. yesterday they wanted to use saline to help get a better image and they were able to determine that I have adenomyosis (non
parasite related - and now I know why I'm such a bitch) and they were trying to show me these tiny little holes in a surface that's supposed to be kind of smooth.. she kept saying "do you see these little lipstick smudges?" Or "do you see how it has a lace type appearance?" and I'm like, wtf! I just see black, white and grey! They can see trapped gas in your intestines and everything... it's cool. The tropical medicine doctor should be able to request all the scan images and ultrasound video... and if he's foreign, he will probably be more open minded. I've had the best luck with asian and mid eastern doctors. They seem to just know more about everything period and work harder at finding out reasons instead of guessing. The doctor I had yesterday was asian and when she left the room, the tech and whoever the lady was that was typing in everything was, they were complaining about being late for their lunch break and making fun of her for not eating or sleeping... i was in the bathroom changing but my partner was back in the ultrasound room when they were saying it and he was kind of put off at how unprofessional it was, especially in his presence.
American/European doctors seem to hear you, but think of every other reason or excuse for your symptoms.
