Dquixote1217 your reference to the bread test reminded me of a comment made years ago which went along the lines of; "Metallic silver : Great at preserving bread, though not so great at fighting diseases". - Which I thought was quite funny at the time.
Case and point, the metallic or particle solution(Mesosilver/Utopia Silver) variant proved to fail miserably against strains of the Staphylococcus aureus bacterium in controlled testing. And so I'm thinking we're likely looking at a trade-off on a scale of interactions/effectiveness and suceptability.
Abstract:
Here's what looks like, a copy of the original report summary: Particulate vs. Ionic Silver.
On the topic of Argyria and colloidal silver variants, I'd offer the following scientific study for your consideration. Which seems far more reputable than that of the usual panel of internet experts. Not saying the source is wrong(I'm not going to go there), though I'm leaning toward credibility where credibility is due insofar as applied science goes. OR wherever possible.
PS. Since you posted quotes from the Purest Colloid website, I figured the following information may be of interesting to you.
IOW. when it comes to claims made by colloidal silver makers/sellers, I'd take it with a grain of salt. :p
Posted by researcher, Fred Peschel,
The Purest Colloid website(otherwise known as Mesosilver) uses what I refer to as "confusing science" to mislead people into believing life processes are based on mere chemical reactions. The most obvious example being the use of strict definitions to form baseless conclusions. Such as; when logic chain that "ions are the smallest part of a material - ions thus can not be particles - ions thus can not have surface area - thus atoms of silver with their huge surface area must have greater chemical reactivity, making them the preferred form of silver!" - The seller then builds a baseless case that ions lose their reactivity by complexing to non-soluble salts in the stomach but totally neglects to explain that his own metallic silver has even less solubility!"
As for the promoting of Utopia Silver's processing facility, I'd add that curezone biggest benefit comes from helping others without the need for big industy. And more to the point, where we can all can make our own Metallic OR Particle Silver silver solutions in the comfort of our own homes that are every bit as effective if not better, than these true colloidal silver marketers.
Thanks for you input, Estee. Though we may have to agree to disagree on some issues, you have been a valuable contributor to this forum and have no doubt helped and encouraged many people.
International travel? I take it you do not live in the States - though some of us consider Texas to be separate from the rest of the country.
Well, if you do make it to Texas I promise you that one of the most scenic areas of the state is down in the Texas Hill Country where Utopia is located - with tons of things to do and see. Here is an idea - some photos taken while I was living and working on the same property where Utopia Silver has its facilities.
And btw, if you ever want some Utopia Silver Advanced Colloidal Silver for whatever reason, let me know and I will send you some. I keep gallons of it around at all times. I can't help you out with Mesosilver, though I do know the owner Frank Keys. Frank pretty much stays out of the fray. I think his position is that his company does very well regardless of what others may say and perhaps he is of the school that believes that the act of responding to negativity will give that negativity creedence in some quarters no matter how well one responds.
All the best,
Tony
