Hello All
I know I have been avoiding this site because it gets kind of depressing after a while. I have also been trying to figure myself out with this problem.
I'm not going to go into a song and dance about my personal life because I am sure you people probably have it as bad as me or even worse.
Something weird is that I have been kind of depressed about this problem and my diet totally went out the window. I have been eating junk food like crazy and I stopped taking PB shakes (psyllium
Bentonite shakes) because they made me smell worse and were kind of a waste of money since my diet was awful. Plus I have been taking PB shakes off and on for months so I guess that can't be healthy on my system.
I did what most people on this site frown upon: went to the doctor. I only went because I started having symptoms that mimmicked an autoimmune disease and for some reason my nails turned brown and started peeling off my skin. Plus some other TMI stuff I won't post on here (you can check out my curezone blog).
The bloodwork showed that I did not have lupus or celiac disease but my immunoglobulin A (IgA)levels were below normal. I think it could be a sign of liver damage because my psychiatrist asked me if I drank or took tylenol excessively. My crappy PCP said that it did not seem like it needed attention (Yeah I need a new doctor because he also gave me a fake allergy test and told me I was allergic to a bunch of food just so I can purchase his allergy drops for a few hundred dollars). My allergist retested me for a few of the
food allergies and told me that I did not have them and to eat whatever I want. She also said that low IgA levels could be to gastrointestinal problems.
So I feel like I have been running in a circle and I probably could have saved money if I just listened to myself a few years ago: Leaky Gut. So I have a visit with the Gastro. Tuesday morning and I am not really going to hold my breath. I am a young female so they are probably going to go out of their way to not try any procedures on me.
I stopped taking supplements because I don't think my body is absorbing them, even multivitamins and expensive probiotics. Tomorrow I am going to do my second
Liver Flush and I intend to do one weekly until I get rid of this problem or at least get these symptoms (burning skin feeling) to stop. I have been eating terribly the last couple of weeks and for some reason I do not think it is making me smell worse like when I go on strict restriction diets.
I purchased a product called Repairvite, (No I am not endorsing it or recommending it) I bought it because it contains all the herbs you are supposed to take during the Leaky Gut Protocol (the 4 R's I think) in one scoop VS taking like fifty different pills. I have learned to loath taking lots of pills now. Tomorrow I will start the FODMAP diet but only consume Fruits, Vegetables, Brown Rice, Brown Rice Protein Powder,Coconut oil, Olive oil,and small amounts of almonds, allowed nuts and Chia seeds. I will try to avoid as much processed food as possible (maybe some Earth Balance and Brown Rice bread) I intend to do this for 4-8 weeks and not take any supplements except for some prescribed medication (My doctors think the medication I am taking now may be causing some of the damage that I have now with my nails and liver)
I have been avoiding the public as much as I can but I have to start school next month (taking online classes but I may have to go to the school for the exams) going back to the gym, and I may have to start looking for work (which I am severely dreading) so I guess I have to use those scenarios to measure out how bad I smell.
I know everyone here is feeling extremely glum but I assure you it will totally get better! Just don't give up and make yourself believe that you have to go the rest of your life this way, to do so would be completely ridiculous. If I have to eat this way to not smell bad for the rest of my life I will totally do it, I've gotten rid of the odor problem and I will totally get rid of it again. If anyone wants to talk just pm me or drop by on my curezone blog since I try to update weekly (although I have been slacking this month) and just feel better!
