I'm a 23 y o female living in rural Cambodia. My stomach has been abnormal for a little while with symptoms of severe random hunger urges (to the point it was waking me up in the middle of the night a couple of times demanding I eat something), fatigue, nausea if I ate too much, hunger a few hours later, minor gastronomic distress if I ate something (something that didn't bother me a few weeks back). Since these symptoms are very abnormal for me, I figure I might have a
parasite or two, and from my online research, I probably do. So I decided to do a natural cleanse, given my limited resources and the fact that the nearest doctor is 1.5 hours away.
I am taking a spoonful of papaya seeds with 2 cloves of garlic, mashing them up in a mortar, and rolling them into easy to swallow balls. I am also drinking the juice of a coconut and eating a bit of the papaya. I do this right after I wake up for breakfast and I fast for about 4 hours after. I also drink warm lemon water with a little salt to help with the flushing out. I'll be doing this for a total of 7 days, then taking a week off then doing it again.
I'm on day two of this and I noticed that there was blood in my very loose stool, but it was red blood, the smell wasn't abnormally foul, no pain or gastronomical distress other then some rumbling, and my 2nd time on the toilet had no blood, so I'm not overly worried. I also have a blood disorder and am on some natural blood thinners (325 mg asprin, 120 mg ginkgo, and fish oil). I research some more and apparently papaya is a pretty good blood thinner itself.
So I wonder, has anyone experienced fresh blood in their stool in conjunction with a
parasite cleanse and papaya seeds?
I'm not overly worried, but I am wondering if that's a sign of
parasites (since I didn't wear my glasses to the toilet, I couldn't exam my stool for any wigglies) ie that the
parasites are detaching from my intestinal walls hence a few bits of blood.
