Hey,
I'm a noob when it comes to
Iodine supplementation, mainly because I don't like the idea of isolated nutrients, but still, I've been coerced with other nutrients in the past (much to my chagrin) and thought I'd given this particular one a go.
I started taking Iodoral 12.5mg per day a couple of days ago and suddenly, I'm feeling sick as a dog, have either right-sided respiratory or liver pain, nasty orangey-brown urine and falling-down dysfunctionality. I feel constantly hungover with insipid headache and loss of appetite through stomach sickness.
I've been haphazardly drinking quarter teaspoons of Celtic
Sea Salt during my dysfunctional day, although I think it's more escalating the unfavourable experience.
I read about bromism, although I'm wondering if the
Iodine is also serving many other functions and whether I should just back off for a few days and then dose down.
I could not figure out if I had severe liver pain or lung pain (maybe the respiratory aspect is coincidental), so I'm wondering if flukes are being killed (did a few castor packs to loosen that area up).
Something entered my head - if I feel so terrible (bromide detox etc.), how am I going to weather this almost total dysfunctionality from sickness (like weight loss from not eating)? Why am I even doing this?
Ultimately, I know that
Iodine is an important nutrient, but really is this measure of experience normal when iodine is consumed rather through food than special concoctions?
I think I'm confused over, and already weary of iodine supplementation. Is there a good scaling rule for dosing etc.?
Any ideas?
Thanks for your consideration.
Best,
MrBBQ
